Week 18 Discussion (other teams)

With the Ravens playing on Saturday to open up the week, it leaves the rest of the schedule free to "enjoy".

The other Saturday game is Steelers-Bengals and depending on our result, may have some ramifications on our seeding and our potential wildcard round opponent...

The early window is pretty rough tbh with very few meaningful games in terms of the playoffs (or competition)... it has more intrigue re: the 1st overall pick and top 5 in the draft:

Titans-Texans
Pats-Bills
Eagles-Giants
Colts-Jags
Falcons-Panthers

Late window has potential playoff implications in almost every game:
Raiders-Chargers (might be a dud depending on the saturday results)
Cardinals-49ers
Broncos-Chiefs
Jets-Dolphins

And then the slate closes with a banger!
Lions-Vikings to determine the NFC North and the 1 seed - winner gets homefield advantage and a 1st round bye, loser is the 5th seed and goes on the road to face the Bucs or Rams.
 
Steelers can't win the division now, but it's weird how they talk like the Steelers can rest players. If you are Pittsburgh, the easier playoff matchup is the Texans so you want to play to win to get the 5th seed. Chargers win & Steelers lose then it's the Chargers who get the 5th seed and Pittsburgh has to come back to Baltimore. Bengals get in as the 7th seed, watch out Buffalo because that is an upset in the making. Hopefully Denver or Cincinnati get in over Miami so Miami can release Calais and he can come home to us for the playoffs.
 
Bengals moving down the field with not much push back from the Pittsburgh defense. Nobody wants to see Burrow and company in the playoffs.
 
Bengals defense is playing good at the right time. I knew Buffalo would have to be concerned about Burrow/Chase/Higgins but their defense is going to give Allen fits all game if they get into the playoffs.
