Hall of Famer
Since we play on Saturday Night, our mood and how active this thread is will depend on the Ravens winning. Plenty of playoff implications and division titles to unwrap before Christmas. Plus, a late season Tank Bowl between the Jaguars & Raiders, and a huge AFC West showdown on TNF to begin the week.
Key Games:
- With the AFC set barring a collapse or as we come to know it as, "Chargering", this will determine the wild card match-ups and the final seeding. The Broncos can clinch their first post season birth since winning Super Bowl 50 with a win over the Chargers. The Chargers since losing JK Dobbins has gone the complete opposite direction, and getting smashed by Tampa Bay at home is starting to create doubt. Chargers can clinch a playoff spot with a win and some help on Sunday.
- The Chiefs host CJ Stroud and the back to back AFC South Champions, Houston Texans. Houston's defense should be a good test for Mahomes' ankle ahead of the Christmas Day showdown with the Steelers and TJ Watt. Bills hold the H2H tiebreaker over KC in the event they end up with the same record.
- The Lions defense is falling apart every snap it seems like, and it sounded good getting Hutchinson back by the NFC Championship but will they even win the NFC North? A depleted Lions defense could be what the Bears need to pull off the late season upset, opening the door up for the Eagles to potentially steal home field advantage.
- The Vikings are looking to snatch the NFC North from the Lions in these final weeks and have to play a Seahawks team who is coming off a loss to the Packers. How healthy will Geno Smith be? The NFC West seems to be wide open with the Rams playing the Jets, and Cardinals taking a late season east coast visit to Carolina . Who will win the wild NFC West?
- Somehow, the Bengals are still alive in the playoff race and a easy game against the Browns and new starting QB DTR is what their defense needs as Burrow tries his damnest to drag his defense to the playoffs.
- The Eagles can lock up the NFC East with a win over the Commanders on Sunday. If they do, the road to the Super Bowl in the NFC may just run through Philadelphia.
- Tank Bowl: The Raiders & Giants are tied for the same record meaning SOS will come into play. Jaguars play the Raiders while the Giants will face new Falcons starting QB Michael Penix who is replacing Kirk Cousins.
