Crabtree will serve as a solid possession WR and Humphries is a fantastic slot option. Finally Luck no longer has to force the ball just to TY and Doyle

7 stars for Perriman is an example of what happens when a GM makes contract offers during happy hour. Maybe that explains the Jags/Foles deal.

I'm confounded by Reshad Jones going for 3 Stars. He doesn't do anything at an exceptional level, but he does everything well. With teams missing inevitably missing on safeties, I figured for sure he'd go for at least 6 or 7.

This whole FA period was odd. I can only assume a lot of people were too caught up in real FA to be paying attention.

Mad that I had a presentation at work that was far more important. Also mad I mistexted the wrong person to help me out. Would've gone in hard on Cook

I'm also happy that I got my hands on Adam Humphries though. Jameis Winston isn't a bad QB but the offense system on that team was such trash and he still had an outstanding season for a slot WR of all positions. Andrew Luck relies heavily on a slot guy lowkey, and even if I could flex out Higbee hypothetically, Humphries is one of the best slot WRs in the game right now, and has an uncanny ability to get open on third downs and move the chains in a timely fashion for the offense. It won't be TY anymore.

Some of it was Jones' late addition to the pool. I wonder if everyone was fully aware he was available to be bid on.

Right!? Either that, or the last period was so scary high that everyone wanted to settle down a little.

Could be. Though I did place him on there with the rest of the group before the thread was posted and give a shout about him in this thread. He was also bid on immediately.

Glad to have one of my past draftees back in Dean Lowry. He doesn't do much as a pass rusher, but he's looked stout against the run and has played across the entire DL. Hurts to lose a solid CB, but at least I have depth there.

The Patriots might be considering trading away Matthew Slater, possibly the best pure ST gunner of all-time. He makes just 1.5 Stars in base and I won't let him go for peanuts. CB Jonathan Jones is still on the block for anyone needing a young CB with upside, on a minimum deal, and starting experience at every CB spot and FS.

I think if you put a gun to Belichick's head and made him pick his favorite all-time Patriot it wouldn't be Brady, Gronk, Bruschi, Brown, or Wilfork. It'd be Slater.

Yeah, you're probably right. He's likely staying put for that reason. Just figured I'd at least entertain the idea.
