2019 Forum Mock: Discussion Thread

What are the cap impacts if I cut a tagged RFA?
As long as he is cut before the RFA free agency period than you can rescind the tag and cut him. You would still save the difference between the total cap and dead cap. If it is after the RFA free agency period than you can cut him and save half the RFA amount.

Chandler Jones is a stud off of the edge. It basically cost me a late first rounder, but given that I'm in win-now mode, he is nothing but useful to me.

Just as a reminder with roster lock happening last night, Michael Crabtree is still a member of the Baltimore Ravens for the Forum Mock.

Can you restructure a contract for a player that you franchised? Or can it only be for a player that was not franchised?
You cannot. You can only restructure contracts for players that are in at least the 2nd years of their deals but not the last year.

Alright. I've run through each entry one time. Each SoF entry is now updated through this minute. The starting point numbers, the tenders, and trades are all reflected. Some things to know. There are several entries that have contracts with pending figures. The Joe Flacco example is by far the largest, but there are some others where the figures are currently blank. I.e. the dead money of Pierre Garcon. I've taken the liberty of copying down all of the information from each roster to a separate spreadsheet. I am going to consolidate the list of such pending contracts, and over the course of the next week, I will check on each one and update the accordingly.

For your own benefit, please familiarize yourself with your roster. If you see a player at the end of the active roster or at the end of the dead cap segment on Spotrac and their figure is blank, be aware that your current cap number is currently fluid and will be updated once we have the figures. I will handle the updating myself, but I needed for this to be perfectly clear so that there is no confusion when the figures are updated. Also, please get your emails over to @RavensMania if you haven't done so already. Remember, no moves are considered official until your SoF and depth charts are updated to reflect the moves to that point. And if you can't access your sheet, you're taking yourself out of the playing field.

correction

10.7m base salary / 2 = 5.35m = 5.5 stars (nearest half star
15,812,500m total cap hit *.30 = 4,743,750 (4.5m stars saved)

I was just informed that I was able to restructure Drew Brees - because while his contract is voidable after this year (and everyone on the planet knows he will do so) technically he is under contract and it isn't the last year of his contract. So am I able to Restructure him instead?

Anyways, the Colts have finally decided to give Luck defensive talent. Chandler Jones and Geno Atkins can rejoyce. Congrats. Both should be able to increase the pressure on opposing QBs tenfold, and help poor Denico Autry and Jabaal Sheard, who were basically doing the heavy lifting.

On that note, the Colts are closed for business on the trade market.

Just opened up the SoF sheet cause I was planning to update it.
I haven't been able to do much recently (yesterday I was the whole day in Paris with barely any mobile data at all).
Thanks for filling up the missing pieces again guys

Margus hunt carried that defensive line last year - no offence to autry and sheard but hunt was the best and most valuable player on that DL last year

I'll be more active shortly. Been a crazy busy season for me, so haven't gotten to put up the depth chart yet. I'll look at offers though and respond.
