There is not a noticeable jump in quality between Fields right now and Kenny Pickett last year. Fields still is wildly inaccurate, whereas Daniels was holding record setting accuracy over a 4 game span. Fields is a better runner but slow at reading defenses, easily confused by coverages, and horribly inaccurate. None of those apply to Daniels.

JD will be better than Fields obviously. This year, your analysis is accurate. Neither is a SB caliber QB in 2024. Both have traits and are helping their teams overachieve.
