2025 Baltimore Orioles

...Soto to Mets. Got a kid that hits 101 in deal and another AA guy, both pitchers. This week should be interesting. Potential for up to 10 guys leaving. lol

3 more days to see who stays and who goes. Ced certainly has been promoting himself well with circus catches and big hits. And I think O’Hern has to be drawing a lot of interest, along with Laureano.

Ryan has been a huge favorite of mine, love the way he turned things around after KC gave up on him, will hate to see him go. Barring some huge offer, I doubt Ramon goes anywhere given the low cost option year for 2026. He’s been hitting really well and I can’t recall us having an arm like his in right field.

We’ve put such a whoopin’ on the Blue Jays they had to trade with us in between double header games today to get a reliever for the 2nd game. lol.

Dominguez pitched a 3 up, 3 down inning for the Blue Jays in the second game.

This trade gets even crazier. The guy we got Brown, was playing for AA New Hampshire who happened to be playing the Baysox yesterday. He just headed across the field too!

I heard that on the game last night. They were making up scenarios where it could have gotten even more ironically funny. I like Dave Johnson on commentary for a change...

16 new players from trades. Maybe we'll see a couple audition by the end of the season. But what's really amazing is that in the past month since the draft we've added 21 drafted players and these 16 from trades... 37 new prospects and two of those are immediately in our top 10. Pretty remarkable.

Sad to see some of the guys go, but they're all going to teams that have Playoff and WS chances. I like the Padres and the Astros. I'll be keeping an eye on Ramon Urias with the Astros and O'Hearn and Laureano to the Padres. That would be a great Series. I'd love to see Manny get a ring and what a treat for O'Hearn if that were to be the end of this season for him.

Wonder if there's any chance we get into the mix to sign Ced or O'Hearn in the off season.

I've been wondering that too, but I kind of doubt it. Yet, you never know. I don't think either are going to get a ton as FAs. I think we have to wait and see if they audition Beavers in CF. I think O'Hearn is less likely, only because if Mounty is gone too, then Mayo at 1b is really going to need to show something down the stretch at 1b or 3rd... I think they do better in FA with 1B than anything they have. Who knows? I just wanna see the damn auditions that are coming!

Rodger’s pitched a great game today, what a shame to lose 1-0, but he really shut down one of the best hitting teams in baseball. Hopefully he stays healthy and carries this form next year, could very well be our ace.

Got a good outing from Povich but the bullpen was terrible last night. And Philly can MASH! Povich with a 3 run 5 2/3 isn't bad. Got charged with a 4th run from the bullpen that gave up 9 runs.

Yeah, kind of expected given the purge of big league relievers.

unrelated....Harper is a jerk. lol

Rogers continues to impress. Sam Basallo looks to be the real deal, and he is a huge dude! Maybe he can be a 2 sport guy and also play LB for the Ravens. lol

The pitching, except for two double digit games, has been excellent. I haven't liked many of the trades Elias has done, other than trading all of the guys on the way out the door anyway, that was pretty boss, but it is amazing to me how he is able to play the waiver wire. Some of those middle relief guys could really help to be parts of a rebuilt bullpen. Gotta get the bats going a little better, but I'll be super happy if they close out like they've been playing the past 10-12 games.

Rico looks like Haloti Ngata's brother. lol Don't think I've seen a better relief performance...ever. That was a masterful display of pitch location and selection.

Wondering what the Basallo contract means for Adley's future with the club.

I wish they would have done similar contracts with Gunnar and Adley.

No way Bassallo, with his size is going to be an everyday catcher for long. I think they see him as a DH or 1B. Adley calls a great game when he has a pitcher with the tools. I don't think he's any less likely to be given a deal. I don't think Gunnar is gonna be here after his arb years are done. Once he hits FA he's gone. I hope not, but he's gonna get PAID.
