He was not plug and play. Everyone could see that was gonna be the case. That being said after a few weeks of tinkering, we've found the way to maximize him it seems. But you're right about ocums razor. Great players are typically gonna be great anywhere.

Those concerns were objectively an overstatement. I had no such reservations. Half of his snaps last year came from shotgun and pistol, and he averaged 4.9 YPC on those attempts. He had more zone blocked runs last year than gap ones. One game against the Chiefs where he didn't have a chance to get going was not an indicator of time needed.
