The Refs, the OL, and the Coaching

0-2 start. It might be time for galaxy brain EDC to fix it by cutting more proven performers and sticking some day 3 picks in there.

Maybe replace Roquan and Kyle with a couple of 7th rounders and see if that helps.

We came into the season not knowing who will make up the right side of the OL. Then we kept, completely unnecessarily, experimenting during the game when it was clear Rosengarten played well.

Horrendous challenges robbed us of crucial time and extra snaps at the end of both halves.

Monken needs half the game to figure out what works.

Orr seems overwhelmed with the OC job. Our secondary should not look this bad vs much better teams, let alone Minshew led Raiders.

All of the above is ultimately on our HC.

Get Harbaugh out.

I feel like it's also some stubbornness related to a long-term plan - if Faalele can play RG, you have him for 2 years vs. 1 year of Cleveland before he hits FA. Just play the best players. I don't know that Cleveland is gonna be anything halfway decent but Faalele isn't. And this is me saying this after going to bat for him (or kinda) in preseason. The experiment isn't going to work.

me too regarding preseason

but slow feet, slow processing and not getting the benefit of his length and big body in the running game is a lose-lose choice

and yeah it'll be annoying if cleveland is here for 1 year, starts and ends up elsewhere but... you get to have a functioning OL, Faalele can continue to develop as a RG behind him (if that's the case) and you get a comp pick if he's good enough that you worry about losing him

in the meantime you've helped bed in 2 new starters who will be here for the next 3 years at least

i dont put this loss on EDC at all

Vorhees has been fine
Rosengarten looks good in limited time
Cleveland is sitting on the bench despite looking absolutely fine whenever he's played in relief of Zeitler

it is not EDC's fault that Harbs and Monken won't play Cleveland and RR

Classic John Harbs game

Here’s the thing that really gets me in terms of our philosophy.

We refuse to focus on taking out one guy. Crosby keeps beating us? Let him have a bunch more one on one matchups.

Adams is taking Stephens lunch money? Ah hell, I’m sure he won’t beat him EVERY time.

Guys like Belichick (not that I expect Orr to be like him to be clear) would take the most effective guy on the other team and make it his mission to scheme him into irrelevance, forcing other guys to step up. If that means it’s easier for somebody like Jacoby Meyers that’s fine with me, he won’t be able to make plays like Adams can

Fire Harbaugh

It could be better but it still wouldn't be good.

It's the idiocy of deciding that the O LIne is the place to make savings and RB is the position to spend at that gets me. Both are the exact opposite of a good plan separately but doing them together, so you don't even get the benefit of the expensive RB, is worse.

Yeah it seems deeper - almost like they're trying to get value out of the Roman-era picks (aka Faalele) instead of just admitting he isn't a fit for Monken and moving on.

Linderbaum is good. Rosengarten should be fine with more reps. I'm not even mad at Vorhees although I expect he ends up more okay and solid than anything good. Then Stanley at LT is a question mark as far as his future goes. I'm all for developing a RG but chances are you're swapping one, maybe two spots next year. Put the best guy in for now and figure that out next year if you have to.

As chaotic as the 2021 season was, it was so nice to be on the winning end of some crazy 4th quarter comebacks

feels like we've only been on the receiving end since then...

Fire EVERYONE.... HARBAUGH, MONKEN, ORR, SPECIAL TEAMS COACH, ERIC DECOSTA WHO CLEARLY IS NOT OZZIE.

See everyone next week when Monkens makes the Dallas defense 1000 times better than they played today. 0-4 incoming... look out Panthers, we are coming to steal the 1st overall pick.

Not sure what’s more incompetent us or the secret service
