The reason I don't have an issue with kneeling (other than it being a universal sign of respect) is the focus is still on the anthem. They're still there looking at the flag and listening to the song.

Stretching just takes away the entire focus and basically says he doesn't care.

Think about what you are saying here. Why in the world would it be easier to police an area where the crime rate is exponentially higher? The main difficulty doesn't lie in the number of people, it's the number and nature of the crimes being committed. Policemen are fighting crime and protecting law abiding citizens from criminals, not watching people per se.

I would chime in on policing in a city like Baltimore but it would end up being a book, because of all the challenges and trying to fully explain them. I will have to work on that when I have a lot of free time on my hands. It would have to come from the prospective of working the most high crime areas, because I never worked any place easy in the city.

Because if you have a high crime area, you're naturally going to employ many more police officers. You aren't going to commit one police officer to an area of 1,000,000 people if a quarter are a threat to commit a crime.

As you said, very little crime where I live, so less need for police officers. In a higher crime ridden area, more police officers.

No you only had a disagree. I'm giving you the dislike (which I think is my 1st ever). There's 12,000 military troops over there. You know the ones that are being kneeled against. The power grid is starting to come back up. Communication lines are opening up. The main highway that loops around the island is functioning again. Both the governors of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands have praised the US's efforts. Remember PR declared bankruptcy in May and this area was in complete disarray before the hurricanes and the mayor of San Juan isn't even attending FEMA meetings which are guess where in San Juan. She'd rather talk about how tough she is as 5' 120lb woman lol (I'd say she's at least 140). You know throwing the sexist card out there. Surprize. Surprize. Surprize.

Saying Trump has done next to nothing shows you got extreme tunnel vision that is leading to blindness.

In fact I want to say something racist and sexist since that would be youralls opinion anyway but Maxine Waters is an extremely ignorant individual and has a terrible hairdoo. Ever look at her district. Its complete shit while she lives in a 4 mil dollar mansion away from the masses. Impeach 45!!

It took 5 days to respond to the hurricane on Twitter and 8 days to waive the Jones act.

I want him to actually mobilize and show sympathy for a US territory that has human beings there...

The general leading the charge has said 12,000 is far too little for what they are dealing with. He wants a great deal more.

Trump has done next to nothing. Congrats, we sent too few troops and delayed heavily on even mobilizing relief supplie because we're worried about money owed, not saving human lives.

But hey, I get it- there's a "very big ocean" in the way.

I'm not even going to humor the last part because it's so far off topic and the deflection is unreal.
 
Only 9% of the media considers itself as "conservative " . Divide the rest up as you wish but please don't insult me or yourself and claim the other 91% or even 80% as unbiased.

With those numbers in mind is it any wonder the media exposure on Trump is perpetually negative and often misleading and even *gasp* flat out wrong?

The man could save starving babies from a burning orphanage and you will never hear word one about it. He is so hated by so many, some people have completely lost the ability to view him in even the slightest unbias light.

With all due respect, it seems like you are over simplifying things. We would probably have to talk so I can really explain things. You do realize out that right out of the gate at the start of a shift your district can be 35 calls for service or more in the hole and you may not catch up during your shift, especially during a hot night in July. That means every officer is going to be out of service on a call the entire shift. There is no time to do random patrol all night and at the end of a shift you may need to turn in two run sheets after responding to over over 40 calls for service handled. That is why we don't call out for a lunch break ever, you try to eat in service or not at all. At the end of your shift you have to catch up on all your reports. There are not enough officers in Baltimore City to handle just the call volume alone.

I think I was reading that all of Baltimore County has about 5,000 officers for 800,000 or so people. That's an officer per 160. Just looking at Baltimore City, you have like 3,100 for 500,000, so again, about 1 police officer per 160 people.

I can believe it's a lot to handle, no doubt, especially in a city like Baltimore, but my point was that in a city like Baltimore, you can employ those 5,000 police officers (likely more if anyone wanted to put themselves in that type of danger). 5,000 is a lot of police officers to police a very dense, heavily populated area. I think I read that Baltimore city patrol extends about 81 square miles or so. That's the point I was making. In this area of 81 square miles, there's 3,000 police officers to 500,000 people. Your density is so much higher.

Probably not your fault, but you really aren't grasping the situation officers are in policing a city like Baltimore, Memphis, Detroit, St. Louis, etc.. I think if you went on a ride along you would have a much greater appreciation for the difference.
