2025 NFL Draft General Discussion

I’m higher on Booker than most - I think most know that by now lol. Either Starks or Emmanwori will be there I think. I can’t pass on Zabel or Ezeiruaku, either. Definitely wouldn’t want EDC’s job Thursday night lol

Don’t get me wrong, though… would love to have Harmon. Either way, we’ll be leaving the first round with a stud

i definitely don't have emmanwori rated that highly, nor booker tbh
and i think there's a decent chance that both zabel and ezeiruaku are gone in the top 20 (big fans of both those guys)

starks is the guy i dont want but ultimately would be fine with

I really appreciate you sharing your insights with us as it helps correlate things or makes me go back again.

I thought I was going to love Booker but I don’t and never have. His heavy feet in the pass game scare the shit out of me and his testing did nothing to help that for me. I don’t think he’s worth 27.

Similar story with Nick Emmanwori, I want to love his play but I just don’t. The traits are absolutely there, he may turn into a stud but there is risk there and I don’t know if he can play that deep safety role that we need right away.

there's a few guys that you all have helped me go round and round on and ultimately settle on where i think they go (e.g. starks i was way too low on at various points in the process)

2 dark horse options for the pick at 27 that no one's talking about as options but i think the ravens might love them
Carson Schwesinger (think this would send everyone into meltdown mode)
Trey Amos

3 guys that will not be on the ravens board:

Mike Green - 2 sexual assault allegations - 1 at high school, 1 at college (was the reason he ended up at Marshall)
Isaiah Bond - a recent sexual assault allegation that it seems like he's admitted to in communications with the victim when trying to offer her $1k in hush money and tried to make her sign an NDA
Maxwell Hairston - at least 1 allegation of rape and possibly more than 6 total sexual assault allegations going back around 4 years

would have been off the board for the ravens anyway based on their post ray rice commitments (zero tolerance for domestic or sexual violence), but especially in light of tucker's stuff i dont see how they could even consider these guys

so many national media mocks that are just grossly underestimating how high some guys are gonna go

like the most recent Eric Edholm one on NFL.com:

Mykel Williams, Donovan Ezeiruaku, Josh Simmons and Walter Nolen were all available at pick 28
i think we'd be elated if any of those guys were available at 27 let alone all of them

don't see mykel or nolen getting out of the top 20, simmons is a wild card but apparently his knee has checked out fine (which means he might go top 15 ultimately) and ezeiruaku could be there, but he could also potentially go top 20

there's apparently a medical concern with Derrick Harmon that might make him slide
would certainly make it more likely he gets closer to 27 than if he didnt - especially as it seems like the Ravens have a clear eval on whatever the issue is...

then again, also seen 2 different sources suggesting derrick harmon might be in play for the Jags at 5 so... who knows

but mostly just to preface with... if harmon does start to slide, this would be why

Reading there might be a medical thing on Loveland as well for some teams
but also that the Colts and Chargers are still definitely the most interested teams so maybe doesn't affect him at all other than maybe a team like Denver passing on him if he's available at 20

Possibly more than 6! That's mind-numbing. Surprised that hasn't dropped him off of most boards. And fully with you on us completely avoiding any assault related backgrounds.

Interested to see where Will Johnson and Jihaad Campbell go with their medical flags. I would assume Campbell's concerns are more palatable as they appear to be short-term.

It's wild how this is such a prevalent issue. I've made it through 31 years of life without doing anything even close with complete ease. It's not hard to not be a piece of shit.

I'm possibly alone in this, but health aside, I have CB Benjamin Morrison as a Top 20 prospect. Hip issues are a pest for DBs, which I understand. But at 21, he shouldn't be this polished on the perimeter. I am praying he's there for us in the 2nd.

which makes it even more simple to just take those guys off the board

it's not hard to not sexually assult someone...

he may well be off a bunch of boards but probably not everyone's

from a personal level i'd want to avoid these types of prospects anyway - but glad that they seem to be a no go anyway

i dont see top 20 - dont see the elite athleticism to warrant it

Disagree entirely, but it sounds like we'll have to live on opposite sides of this fence, which is fine.

i see a guy who plays with good discipline, decent movement skills but i dont see an elite athlete for inside stuff - has good movement skills working outside but not inside

still a day 2 guy for me - not like i hate him

I think the move skills are considerably above decent, but even then, I don't remotely see elite athleticism as a requirement for a terrific CB. I'm firm with where I stand on him.

whereas i think CB is one of the more important "stopwatch" positions

im totally buying in that Derrick Harmon is valued way higher by the league than the media, top half of the draft for him

I think ezeiruaku is gonna go way higher than media projects

Xavier watts and Kevin Winston go before emmanwori

I’m starting to lean into Donovan jackson as my favorite “realistic” option, but also don’t know just how realistic he is and could see him also going top 20, and also don’t think the ravens take him at 27.

All in all, I predict Malaki starks. It’s just such an easy prediction to make, it’s felt inevitable for a long time, a team ahead of us taking him feels like the only way it doesn’t happen

Starks is gonna be our pick unless Miami is stupid and the Vikings don’t trade back for more picks
