This is eye test only and no tape study to this point, but it feels hard to argue that Sanders isn't QB1, and he'd probably be worth the pick there. The physical skills are all there, and I'd even say most of the mental is. His biggest issue is going to be speeding up that process and not holding the ball as long. And also the media circus that follows with dad wanting to control his destination. It's going to be a very interesting draft process.
Not a fantastic year to need a QB. Right now, I think the top 3 are some combination of Ward, Sanders, Milroe. Ewers has been ok, but there are injury concerns in 3 consecutive seasons. Beck has largely been a disappointment.
I'm not convinced that a QB goes 1OA. Travis Hunter will make a case to be the top pick, I think
I don't no, The way he handled the loss to Nebraska was troubling and not something you'd expect from a player whose dad was a superstar. Especially a player with his upbringing should know how to handle a loss and not blame your teammates in the press conference afterwards. This is eye test only and no tape study to this point, but it feels hard to argue that Sanders isn't QB1, and he'd probably be worth the pick there. I’m not saying I like that by any means. On the field, I think he’s probably the cleanest QB from a skillset perspective based on watching games mostly live so far this year. We’ll see if the tape tells the same story.I don't no, The way he handled the loss to Nebraska was troubling and not something you'd expect from a player whose dad was a superstar. It's a failure of parenting, coaching and leadership. I don't think he'll ever be mature enough for me to want him on my team and I definitely wouldn't advocate for drafting him as high as he is expecting to go.
Henry, Hill, and Mitchell is a fairly deep RB room compared to most teams. Though I do like Nicholas Singleton. Hyper athletic dual threat running back. Fits the speed focus we seem to push for on offense.Who are some running backs you’re keeping an eye on?
With Derrick Henry going into his 30’s and not much depth in our RB room, feel like we’re going to need to draft one relatively high. Especially now, with the way the running game is coming back strong.. teams might be more inclined to value the position higher than recent years.
Took the words out of my mouth. Our OL needs to combat CLE and PIT because those 2 teams have given us a number of issues over the years against our offense. Ojabo is a mythical creature at this point. I love KVN, but he's getting there up in age.well after last night, if it wasn't clear already...
feels very much like we need to be looking at EDGE high but also OG

He's got some real Jekyll and Hyde to him. I've seen him go out there and look absolutely lost at times, and then come out 10 minutes later and look like prime Tom Brady. Think there's some upside to bet on there if you can get him to stop seeing ghosts. When he's got time in the pocket, he can dice you up.I was a little surprised to see Carson Beck declare. He had an inconsistent season and he's currently got a UCL injury. Had he stayed in college for one more year, he likely would make more money in college vs the NFL. Which is absolutely insane.
I give him credit though. That's a tough decision to make. He's already spent 5yrs in college football as a redshirt senior with an extra covid year still available. I respect him betting on himself in the draft process as there is a real problem in college football with players playing 6 or 7 seasons, often times on multiple teams.
Mason Graham, Will Johnson, and Abdul Carter are the best players in this draft in my opinion. Travis Hunter is a super fun player but those 3 guys just feel so clean as of now.
Tetairoa McMillan is also a freak of nature, but that long speed is a big question mark.
I think I've also settled on not liking any of the QBs that much based on what I saw live this season. Tape will be interesting.
Smith still has to play two more seasons of college ball. Which is insane given how good he is.If I don't need a QB or tackle, I'm drafting Jeremiah Smith, not Hunter. Probably even if I need a QB, since this class pretty much sucks.
Jesus, I had no idea he's a freshman. How is it possible to be that big, fast and good at 19yo???Smith still has to play two more seasons of college ball. Which is insane given how good he is.
It was the same thing with Brock Bowers. He was an NFL player as a freshman.
