2024 Baltimore Orioles

I seriously doubt they go after a top line guy tho. I get the impression they want to deal mid-farm level guys, not guys that are either in their MLB debut-phase or close to getting there. Which is ok with me. I look for Fuji and Flaherty type moves from last year because you can get them with lower level prospects. And a return of Flaherty might be on their radar again. He's having a great year.

Hopefully Coulombe can make it back this year and be at his pre injury form. But I think they still have to go big if they expect to compete in the WS. Either that or 2 or 3 guys already in the org will have to step up their game big time. If not, I'm afraid it will be another early exit.

Good bounce back win to close out the west coast trip before returning home. O's have potential to make a deep postseason run but really need that one guy at the deadline that will put them over the top.

I wouldn't be surprised if McDermott was added to the team before the AS break. And Roch Kubatko mentioned a pitcher on the pregame who's in Norfolk, but I can't remember his name. I just don't feel like Elias is going to deal from the MLB team or the top prospects. I would not be surprised to see Mateo, Urias, O'Hearn, and maybe even McCann part of talks, but Westburg, Coswer, and even Kjerstadt are almost untouchable as are the other more prominent guys.

I could see a couple "Cash Consideration" deals for pitchers from teams who just want to shed payroll.

I would think the big league field squad is pretty much off limits, I don't think they would mess with the chemistry. All of those guys have played a key part at some point(yes, even Jorge).

Well, you have to be willing to listen, which is part of the bargain basement point. None of those guys I mentioned have people calling us. Maybe Mateo... Ultimately, tho, I don't think they are too willing to give up anyone on the 40 man. And as for prospects, I just really get the impression that this is the last year of "building" and that all bets are off beginning with the offseason. Just a hunch. But it does lead me to thinking we're looking more for the Fuji types in the pen than top SP's and such.

If what happened tonight doesn't wake up the Orioles, I don't care how much he's fighting for the players. Hyde may need to go, we are slipping right now and needed the series win this weekend against the Yankees. Now we need to win Saturday and Sunday, to get the series W.

Also.... if the Orioles are winning in the top of the 9th and the game is in hand, and the ball "accidentally" hits a Yankees player in the helmet... oh well.

‘Cmon man, wtf are you talking about. lol

I actually predicted there'd be a fight this series on another board. The Skanks are always true to form. They were still salty from Judge getting hit while crowding the plate in the last series. Not to mention getting SWEPT out of first place. Why would they plunk a batter in the 9th up by 3? Because their organization is comprised of total douchebags.

I'll be happy today and tomorrow if we bounce back and shut them out... and if we post double digit runs, I'll be ecstatic.

They plunked Heston because he's been on fire, trying to shake him up moving forward. TBH I care more about him going 10 for 10 these next 2 than I do winning the games. Fuck those assholes, always been classless assholes.

Let them come in, intentionally injure one of our players and we responded by losing 6-1 and thus the series. Kinda like letting the Chiefs come in to Baltimore, talk a bunch of trash and we did NOTHING about it.

MLB has released the 2025 Schedules already... Orioles open on the road in Toronto and end the season with a series against the Yankees.

O's Win! First AL Team to 60 Wins on the season and only the second team to hit 60 wins this season!

Barely survived to eek out one win against Miami. Why can't Baltimore sports teams get out of their own way?
