Next Up: Bye Week

But they're dependent on each other until you find somebody else to go on IR. So who's that player? An addition requires a subtraction. So either I need somebody to get injured, or I need to cut somebody.

And once I've figured out that, I then have to decide whether he's worthy to even be active on gameday. Which my argument is that, today, even with Marlon out, he's not. I don't see the snap distribution for him, and I'm pretty sure he has zero interest in being a core ST player (which is how a lot of these guys get gameday roster spots to begin with).
doubt he would be willing, but he could start on the practice squad.

I wish when I was in school, they had a section for becoming Head Coaches in Football and how being fired is the best thing that can happen to you. You sit around and do nothing while still getting paid.

If Stanley doesn’t get healthier and improve over the bye… how long before Mekari takes over?

I came in here just to post something right along those lines. Stanley has been banged up for 3 yrs, Moses is 32 and Faalale is a BUST. This offense has stalled 4 times and 3/4 (Colts/2nd half Browns/Chargers) the tackles have been either out or too beat up to deal with Garret/Mack (Pitt was drops). I still think both of these guys are plus players and the stretch run falls on their shoulders to get right. If the tackles get heathy over the bye this team is unstoppable. If one of them can't, you're damn sure they better play Mekari.

It’s not about liking peters over anyone, it’s about liking peters in addition to
That was my thinking, after all we’ve been through with secondary injuries over the years… I’d be happy to have him as depth for the playoffs

Way too early for Faalale being a bust talk.

That assumes Peters would be happy with being depth. Dude was mad with his playing time last year at times and he was starting that entire time. There’s more than just on field play (and that is much more questionable than it’s ever been) to consider here.

Collingsworth is a Bengal, therefore a Ravens and Steelers hater and it certainly shows. Not too many Ravens and Steelers fans like him. I know my Steelers wife and her family agree with me, he makes us sick the way he drools all over Burrow and the Bengals and hates on our teams. We all dislike him.

In the 2010s and 2020s collinsworth has mostly drooled over:
Patriots, Steelers, packers, chiefs, saints, and more recently the bengals.

what all of those teams had in common over that timespan is a face-of-the-nfl Uber marketable franchise qb for a large market franchise. Collinsworth does what all commentators in big primetime spots, they shine a light on the qbs who drive the game they’re commentating.

Seriously he drooled over the “3 Bs”. It’s pretty funny because bengal fans, at least the young ones, can’t stand him and think he’s a bengal hater who loved to talk up the Steelers (although probably not anymore).

Didn’t mailata take forever to develop? Faalele was always a project, we were very excited to see some flashes early so we got ahead of ourselves, but faalele is far from finished here
Mailata hadn't played football at all when he was drafted in 2018. By early in the 2020 season he was already a very good Tackle.

I'm not writing him off, because we know the Ravens can develop O linemen, but, from what we've seen so far, it's safe to say he's not going to be another Mailata. (He started playing football 2 years before Mailata in 2016.)

Mailata is way more athletic, especially the feet.

Lmao man I’ve come to realize that no matter fanbase, 9/10 fans don’t know shit about fuck
A lot of bengal fans don’t realize Lamar is 8-1 against them, they don’t think he’d have made a difference in the playoff game. They thought Gio Bernard was better than Ray Rice, they thought they’d win the super bowl this year despite what they’ve looked like and being in last all season. I think some are more delusional than others, and our fanbase certainly has more of a pessimistic angle and seems to be more knowledgeable of other teams
