The Lamar Jackson, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Walt Coleman

Imitating the Bills just feels like a bad idea to me.

What they were doing worked. The Bengals defense has just seemingly lost it for the past 5-6 games so just powering it down there throats was a good game plan and trust the defense to hold.

Oakland will probably be more of the same because there run Defense is awful but if Flacco cannot go by the time ATL is up then I would expect the game plan to open up.
So, you're saying that, if Flacco is good to go, that he plays?

I will be honest that is a scary number to me just because I cant imagine him holding up over 16+ games if he runs it that much because he took some big hits.
I think all agree this is not sustainable. Which is why the coaches are going to need to work hard to get the playbook opened up for him.

Well if we win you are absolutely NOT allowed to watch another game and @Militant X 1 cant leave his house!!!

So today was the very first Ravens game I've ever been to. I gotta tell ya, the atmosphere was freakin' fantastic!
-Folks, when Lamar took the field for the first possession on offense, the crowd got hyped.
-A few of the fans I was sitting with agreed with why the fuck is Hurst and Andrews not getting more snaps. Fuck you coaches.
-Pass rush is nonexistent.
-When the jumbrotron showed #52 in the skybox with Biscotti, the crowd went NUTS!
-Where was Buck Allen?
-We were DREADING that final possession by the Bengals. Thank you Humphrey!

As for Lamar, he'll go through some growing pains, but I'm so glad I got to witness his first career start live. As for the conservative playbook, I remember the Seahawks doing something similar with Wilson. So perhaps, they're doing something like that with Lamar. I expect him to throw more against OAK next week, but patience is the key. Prior to his INT, the fan I was sitting next to was happy we had no turnovers. I told her not to jinx it. INT happened. She looked at me with much disappointment and goes "Is there like a Ravens jail that I need to go to?" I told her, "Nah. I got something BETTER than that. To the Pit of Misery you go. Dilly dilly!" You already know the deal...

What we learned today:

@Tank can no longer watch any more games.
@Militant X 1 must have a wall built around his house that he will pay for to prevent him from ever leaving his house again.
@Dom McRaven Must now attend every Ravens game going forward.

People are really overlooking the fact that the blindside was clearly not there for much of game. Almost all the big pass plays came from escaping a sack and extending the play. He shouldn’t be running 20+ times a game but against a bad run defense you attack the weakness. Takes sacks or move the chains.

So, you're saying that, if Flacco is good to go, that he plays?

I would say they probably rest him vs Oakland because lets be honest Oakland should have 0 wins but then against Falcons probably. In a tight playoff race so best player should play in tough games.

Wow! Ain't that the truth? But hey! Why do I have the pay for the wall? Lol...

  • Lamar looked solid in his debut. They need to open up the passing game for him going forward, but he showed off his playmaking ability and constantly extended drives/plays with his legs. His extended play right before half to get the ball to Brown in FG range was literally the difference in this game.
  • Where the fuck were Hurst and Andrews? I saw Hurst a few times and Andrews came up with a big catch in the 2nd half, but they are not being utilized enough. An easy way to get Lamar more involved in the passing game would be to let him throw to both of these guys.
  • The defense did a great job containing Mixon and Bernard, however, they continue to get killed by TEs in the middle of the field. Also, there's still hardly any semblance of a pass-rush.
  • I think Collins has officially lost his starting job. Edwards looked great and decisive in his cuts which fits our line better. With Dixon coming back soon as well, Collins' workload might steadily decrease.

Walt Coleman woke up last night in bed last night and threw a red flag onto the floor and yelled Ravens holding.

He then calmly went back to sleep.
