Article: Crap Speculation. Kap to the RAVENS

200 ypg plus 2 to 3 turnovers per game isn't accurate as well. He did have over 4K yards last year. Yes I'm aware he had the most attempts of any qb last season, but that's also not the point I'm trying to make.

Last year per game.
267 ypg 0.9 int per game. 64.9% completion
I still dont see your point. He did have 4k yards for the 1st time in nine years. Did you watch those 4k yards? Probably not because everybody who watched realized how bad he struggled all year. The Miami game was his best performance and before that game he had more ints than touchdowns. Fumbles does count as turnovers if you forgot. He was not good last year but you bring up 4k yards.

Jammed it into their faces? For a long

There is no such thing as a release when in today's NFL players are still being verbally attacked for the color of their skin. This release is distorted, for too long I have watched people say shut up and play football and that players should not use that platform for anything political. 77% of the NFL is black or brown, if there is a political issue that disrupts our community then the NFL now has an issue to deal with.

These players have no idea how much power they really have, they are afraid to lose their jobs not realizing that they are the NFL. Nobody is going to watch Ravens football if the black players SAT OUT a game.

Perspective is a killer
Sustain for me the notion that there is no such thing as a release.

But see, it's not a black thing or a fear thing, they aren't all scared, promise you there are a shitload of black NFL players who refuse to sit for the anthem because they see it as disrespect to our troops and they take the flag as a symbol for a lot of good things and they honor it. Example: James Harrison, hell im willing to bet there's quite a few who are afraid to speak out AGAINST kneeling for the anthem in fear of getting the coon label, which seems to be handed out incredibly easy these days.

All I ever see is Kap threw 16tds and 4 picks. Those stats are the most misleading stats I've seen in a while. He scored nearly every single point in garage time. I remember the 49ers vs Falcons game where Kap made the game impossible to win within the first 10 minutes. He is an awful qb. If others want to use stats, I will too. What about his 180 yards averaged per game? Please, do not even argue with me to have him on the team unless you SAW HIM PLAY A FULL GAME LAST YEAR. Is he better than Mallet, yes most likely but I would much rather go with Woodrum and fail go 5-11 with Kap.

If you think Josh Woodrum is better than Ryan Mallet and Colin Kaepernick then cool but Woodrum isn't proven like Mallet and especially Kaep. He has looked good against third stringers and in games where opposing defensive coordinator aren't even game planning and etc. This is not the first time Ravens fans have fell in love with a back up third stringer quarterback on the team during training camp and preseason. Most of those guys actually never made the team .I"m not saying Woodrum isn't good or won't be good but he has to show more . Right now our main focus should be on Ryan Mallet .Woodrum shouldn't even be bought into the conversation at this point until he actually starts getting some action against starters .

We can debate how bad Kaep is but the reality of it all is that he would be a upgrade for The Ravens back up quarterback wise. There's no way anyone can say otherwise. Kaep hasn't really had a good supporting cast since 2014 . The 49ers overall have been a mess since Jim Harbaugh left and they haven't had any stability offensively since his departure. The Ravens haven't made the playoffs in two years and if some feel like hey I rather tank the season with Woodrum than Kaep because that will make a difference when it comes to The Ravens getting their hands on a top pick in 2018 NFL Draft then cool . Honestly I'm sick of seeing my team lose and if Kaep gave our team the best chance to win games in the place of Joe Flacco then Ozzie and John need to do what's best for the team

I saw every game and yes his ypa were low, but you numbers aren't even close. He didn't throw 32 to 48 turnovers ever in one season as you are suggesting he did last year with his 2 to 3 interceptions per game. Stop exaggerating ......

I never said he was good last year. Don't put words in my mouth. Just not as bad as you are making him out to be. Btw, he was much better the 2nd half of the season than the first, as expected since he did tear his acl and mcl the yr prior.

if steve goes ahead and gives the green light to sign kap we cannot afford him without restructuring many contracts that will destroy us cap wise the next few years. it is bad enough they restructured jimmy to future years.

He did throw 15 INTs (or an average of .94 per game which is less than 2-3), however his interception % was actually only 2.2% which is lower than his career average of 2.5%. Now a lot of that can be attributed to a large amount of short passes but even then I do not place most of that on Flacco because having watched the offense play Wallace was the only threat out there because SSS was clearly a step slower so he would get by on will. That basically forced a lot of plays to be check downs to Pitta who had no ability to get YAC. This year the Ravens upgraded at the number 2 and number 3 spot in the WR core (I dont think much of Aiken), the TEs are entering there 3rd year which is typically when NFL Tight Ends break out so from a weapons point of view it looks a lot better. The giant question mark for the Ravens is who is playing LG and who will win the RT spot and how well will they do? If those two answers come up well then the Ravens will have a great year.

Colin made it clear what he was protesting and what he wasn't.

With that being said, why then are the troops continually brought up as a reason for not support etc etc. You do not have to do anything, nor do I expect people to be for this cause. However, people are armed with the knowledge as to what it is for and they CHOOSE to make it about the troops. The same troops that are disrespected by their own country. This I can speak on because I currently like with a 9 year vet who served as a Marine and I have to watch almost on a monthly basis just how respected he really is by our country.

The coon label so far went to Hue Jackson who made it seem like football is the world, as if he and the players are not subjected to racial slurs at games. What he is doing to protecting his job by siding or aiding the owners.

i couldn't make sense of any of this. This all seems really unrelated or just really poorly worded rambling.

You brought up the fact that he he threw for 4k last season and I'm sure you wasn't saying that to be negative. Flacco averaged 42 passes a game last year with a average of 6.4 yards per play. Dink and dunk all year! At no point as a starting quarterback in the NFL should you have more int than touchdowns. Okay, I said 2-3 maybe was a little overboard but we all know when the ball leaves his hand to hold your breath. Qbr is the best statistic to grade a qb. He finished last year with a 83.5 and Kaep had 90.7. Bringing in Kaep with this team we can win.

Qbr is a misleading stat in many instances. QBs can pad their quarterback rating when they are playing from behind with a lot of prevent defenses. I only mentioned his arrange because you brought up his 200 ypg.
As @Adreme mentioned, he only through an interception on 2.5% of his pass plays.

I disagree that Kaepernick would have this team win anymore than they already do. QBR is not a great statistic. If I had to compare Kaepernick's stats to a quarterback a year before him that looked good was Blake Bortles. Both can put up good stats from time to time because their team plays from behind 90% of the time and in a handful of games the game was out of reach by halftime.

There is a reason Kaepernick is not on a team and I actually agree with Chris Simms that Colin Kaepernick is good enough to still play but by no means is he a starter caliber anywhere but maybe New York (Jets). Stats lie all the time and you can watch millions of games and he put the 49ers in bad spots on several occasions.

The amount it would take to get Kaepernick if the team based it off of what fans said, Kaepernick would probably make around $7-8 million dollars a year and I believe Flacco won't miss more than 2 games if I were to place a bet on his injury history. If you stick with Mallett the game plan stays the same because Flacco and Mallett have the same arm strength and playstyle. Bringing in Kaepernick means you throw out half of the playbook kind of like what the team had to do with Tyrod Taylor here and that is one of the reasons they let him walk. No back up quarterback should have to make that kind of money in my opinion especially when Flacco still probably has 4 or so years left in his tank. This also does not take into account the media distractions that would come with him.

I believe the best way to spend the rest of the cap space, whatever is left of it like $7 million or something after the Zuttah signing, and spend that on what the team needs to be able to compete in the AFC North and right now that is on the offensive line to get some maulers to open up some run lanes. West got hit behind the LOS way too many times last week against the Dolphins and I understand their line has some great players on it but the way they played against the run was unacceptable.

Lol said the same thing but you said it short and simple. Preventing losing a lead and playing in a tight game is way different. Remember after last season when everyone thought that Bortles was the next great QB? Then look at what has happened. He may have lost his job in Jacksonville.

The problem with Kap was never his numbers. 16-4 TD/INT ratio looks good on paper, but it doesn't reflect all the open throws that he doesn't see or doesn't take- which has always been his weakness. The guy also took 36 sacks in 11 games (For reference Gabbert took 11 in 6 games- but note that he was sacked 7 times during the Cardinals game).

Im not saying Kap should be out of league or anything (I personally hope he gets another chance somewhere), but he's obviously a pretty big part of why the niners went 2-14. He definitely can be successful in certain schemes, but since Jim Harbaugh left the league he hasn't been.

That's a major point I am trying to make. Saying the word tank was very off, what I meant more of is I don't want to screw over our entire team trying to salvage wins for this year, i.e. trades, contract changes, ect. If I want to be honest, we do not have more than a 1% chance at winning it all. I can however see us winning 9-10 games and making the playoffs. We will in a year or two. We already underwent the rebuild. Our window is opening not closing. There is no reason to screw with everything right now and destroy our future. I don't want to see any major moves, I trust this young core to get it done in time.
