(Never) Too Early Prospect Watch

There is nothing funnier in college football than seeing a defense send DBs to run blitz against the NDs left side. 2 plays in a row a standford safety blitzed on a run play and mcglinchey treated that dude like Big mikes first good play on the blind side, just carried his ass like luggage.

Think we're gonna have another .500 esque season so I don't think he'll be available, so I cry. He would be the biggest improvement we could possibly find.

I honestly like Mitch Hyatt so much better. Hed be perfect at RT for us. That us unless Alex Lewis becomes our RT, which i think he can. Its what we drafted him for knowing we wouldnt resign Wagner.

Try watching when OG are put one on one against Vita Vea. Never seen a DL humiliates OLs like that, he's pushing them like he's their dad. And when they try to run he just puts his hands casually on the guy and he's like standing up with the Guard completely pushed back but Vea's acting i effortless it's like he's walking in the street.
God him or McGlinchey I'm begging.

Yeah I stared watching vea recently, he's a goddamn mammoth, fun to watch that kinda brute strength. I don't want him for us, although I love to think about us running a 34 with pierce, vea, and bwill at 3-0-3... holy shit. Bwill and pierce aren't typical 3T but if vea was at the 0 that would be fun, a guard couldn't solo block bwill from his inside shoulder without giving up a lot of ground, that keeps the OT in tight, and with a guy like bowser or williams having that edge advantage that could be a lot of fun to watch.

Gimmicky and probably sounds better on paper, but yeah that would be a lot of man up front

Itd be a total of 1010 lbs on the front with only 3 guys lol

Like what do you do against that? Don't even bother to run the ball, you stand zero chance. We don't even need a 3-4. It would be an innovation, 3 DTs and then stack the edges with 2 LBs, if need be let the SS act as the MLB lol

Troy Fumagali looks legit. Huge man, great run blocking, savvy receiver who knows how to use his size and with strong hands. I'd be thrilled if we could get him in the 2nd round.

Um...idk about the great run blocking part. He has problems in that department for sure. He is a great recieving threat though.

The thing that scares me about drafting tightends is they seem to take a long time to develop. Especially in recent years.

Weird, I'm getting quite the opposite feeling. I think he's reliable but not elite as a receiver, while really good at moving people in the run game, which is what he did the most at Wisconsin.

reading up about the top OTs, saw orlando brown listed at 6'8" 360, not sure if thats accurate but needless to say it caught my eye.

never been so disappointed. was hoping to see a massive mauling force, but no. hes slow footed in pass pro and clumsy looking but his long arms always seem to make contact which shuts down any hopes of a successful rush, BUT in the run game, good god. he didnt land a single block in 3 quarters of film. he would consistently nudge his man and flail as he clearly missed, and then would go to the next level and totally whiff on the linebacker.

anytime they ran to the left side, he gave up the tackle, i mean literally every time from that film, he would totally miss the DL with his eyes, and then go and whiff on the LB, and one of the 2 were making the tackle every single time. it was pitiful.

if you are looking for a solid ravens RT prospect, dont bother, if you are looking for a good laugh, go right ahead.

he'll get overdrafted by a team looking for a left tackle and who will trick themselves into thinking they can fix him

That said, I do think Brown has made great strides since coming to Oklahoma (was a 3 star recruit and was 400 pounds according to Miller podcast) so I'm not giving up on him.

Also watched Minkah against Clemson, and one guy who kept poping up was Rashaan Evans, LB number 32. Wether blitzing or rushing from the edge, he was everywhere giving misery to the OL. Basically if Correa fails this is the guy I want.

Ozzie would be the guy to draft an ILB in the first round if they came from Alabama even though we have very clear needs on the OL.
