2023 Forum Mock: Discussion Thread

Bro sportrac says I have "23" players on offense. I counted what's there and it's 24, plus the full back is missing. I am sticking with OTC for better or worse.

yeah, I'm just using OTC lol
Really???? So you want to work with less cap space

Ravens on OTC has 24.2m in all 51 cap space
Ravens on Spotrac has 26.8 ""

Broncos on OTC have 9.5m
Broncos on Spotrac have 11.9m

and this isn't the only reason why we are sticking with spotrac.com. This is just a small reason

Yeah, well it still has typos.
I'll work with both, where it suits me.
but the numbers will only count on spotrac and that you'll have to use. You can't trade using overthecap just because you may save more. Besides, you'll have more cap space on spotrac anyway, unless you really want to start with 2m less on each team. lol.

Yeah, I'll use Sportrac, just using OTC for depth chart real quick
and remember, we are letting you work with Lamar and franchise him. Now you need to give in and use what all the other players are going to be using.

that's fine.

make sure you also use the free agents tab. This will break out your RFAs, ERFAs and UFA. Ourlads shows a decent, not perfect, depth chart and in red shows the UFAs for the depth chart thread. I tend to go between several sites on depth chart and then cross reference with spotrac.

Thank you for the website ourlads. Without it I wouldn't have been aware that Muhammad is no longer part of the Bears, freeing up nearly 4 million dollars in cap, which would send me a bit over 100M in cap room.

OTC has news, which I love, cause it tells me what new cap things have happened. It's useful before lock.

Maybe I have overlooked it, but how are we going to handle Void contracts?
this is a big reason it's taken so long and why we are actually using spotrac.com

worst are the ones that aren't quite listed as void contracts but after doing tons of research in the background they are basically set up as june 1s in real life for the team. More dummy contracts than even void contract.

Void contracts will be additional June 1 cuts for the teams that have them. however when someone cuts a player with a void contract (no base salary and listed in red on spotrac, they will need to mention it in the cuts thread and the google doc. Dummy contracts, ie Brandon Graham, Jason Kelce among others, although not voidable contracts are dummy contracts and will be put on the free agents list. Those will also be additional June 1 cuts for the respective teams so they don't have to lose cap space.

of course, we have no problem with that. It's a great site, don't get me wrong, but too many issues sprang up for use with this game, then we have stuck with spotrac.com. Mostly with the voidable and dummy contracts.

OTC is my go to when not playing this game.
