Or the mistake may just be the normal mistake the fans, and in this case, the GM, may make. In this case, the mistake may have been overreacting to the last thing we saw, over-compensating for it, and then fake pretending like its surprising when we wake up and realize "fuck, you mean WRs don't cover other WRs too...".

We have two injury prone wrs on our roster in bateman and odell.. this could very well be their last season in bmore.. unless it was witherspoon, i wouldnt take any cb over flowers.. there also no telling if we ever had any plans to resign peters. Flowers was the right choice

Right but its not just Flowers. It's Flowers. And Odell. And Agholor. Did you need all three? I don't know, but I feel pretty confident we'll need a second Corner more than we'll need whoever the third WR ends up being.

The best Corner on the field today is probably Kyle Hamilton. Who's really a Safety.

Nope, I don't. I think Flowers will have a better year.

But given that they play different positions, its possible that the better player doesn't end up being the more valuable player to that team in that season.
If the argument is that we care more about the long term now, then I'm on board. Just didn't seem like long term was really a topic of conversation in here for the entirety of the offseason.

Flowers will impact our team much more than a rookie cb though. Most rookies cb struggle. I doubt jpj have a season like how people think sauce did..safer pick was flowers imo.

I’m going to hang onto the fact that this was a known lingering issue that they feel they can nip in the bud now as evidence that it won’t be that bad, and it wasn’t a sudden severe injury that requires season ending surgery. Now we force signing another CB and we’ll be all the better for it next year

Lamar had a bad day today by all reports. I've thought our offense every time we've seen it in practice has looked bad. I keep telling myself, idk what is going on, but like the only thing we keep hearing is Zay is cooking guys in 1 on 1s. Like that's great but is probably largely irrelevant. Is he cooking people in 11 on 11s? Also now the whole secondary is dead. Why isn't the offense just dominating?

From my understanding, isn't the Commanders' defense pretty good? I thought they were last season. Better QB play and they were definitely getting a Wild Card spot.

I’m curious who he has his eyes on. Problem is everyone needs CB depth come week5 so we’re most definitely over paying if we expect a quality return

Still it’s just practice I don’t think you can read too much into it, they’re not even tackling really

i mean by all accounts sounds like the 1st team offence did well yesterday - and fine but not amazing today
