The Good, The Bad and The Ugly - Jags edition

I think it’s more likely that Lamar leaves the Ravens altogether. Him with Payton sounds like it would be a lot of fun to watch
That's why I want Payton here if we somehow miss the playoffs or go one and done. Payton can do 100 times more with Lamar than he did with Taysom Hill, that creativity of Payton is what would make Lamar even more dangerous.

I mean let’s be honest - we never had a chance when Bateman went down, and that chance was very slim even with him in there. Now you just have a bunch of fat, slow fuckers out there catching balls or blocking. This team wasn’t going on some miraculous run after trading for an ILB. Roster construction before the season was questionable and Roman should’ve been fired in February/March to get the new OC acclimated with Lamar. Now it’s too late and we lost to a 3-7 team due, in large part, to redzone woes and offensive inefficiency

Lamar can’t hit a deep ball consistently, our play calls take too long to say/come out of Lamar’s mouth before a 300 pounder runs in motion, so the defense never has to worry about an offsides and Lamar doesn’t have time to scan the defense and make any pertinent adjustments. It’s just a shit show all around and too late to do anything about it. I think I’m just ready to move on to ‘23
This brought me some calm lol. Thank you.

What in the fudge cake is up with this offense. Seems like the same issues every week.

Damn Jamm my sentiments exactly. I fear that holding GRo this long has turned off Lamar. No evidence, just speculation on my part. This offense just seems uninspired idk.. the drops definitely hurt, but Lamar is at fault for atleast two tds overthrowing those passes.
We all keep hoping for an offensive breakout every week but it just hasn't happened.

This alone is enough to move on from Roman. 4 years of this shit barely getting to the line in time or not at all.

I mean, my knee-jerk reaction is to finally jump on the fire Greg Roman bandwagon but I can’t overlook all the fucking drops and overthrows. Those aren’t on Greg and they totally change the outcome.

they stunk up the joint in the first half in the redzone

but we put up 27 points, had a 2 score lead in the 2nd half and conceded 18 points in the 4th quarter to lose the game... as much as this offence is excruciating... if i had to pick a unit, this loss falls at the feet of the same unit that capitulated in the 4th quarter in the other 3 losses this year...

people gonna harp on this but ignore the fact that they addressed it at half time and it wasnt an issue in the 2nd half
also the fact that outside of 2 other games this year, it's not even been close to an issue

No way man , this issue has come out in all but a couple games this year. They always snap out of it for one game than run off 5-6 games doing this before Lamar throws a fit, the fix it for a game, then repeat the cycle

Somebody said earlier that they're frustrated with the 22...

Me too. If it's by design, as I read in a post a while back, that Roman believes in presenting the same look regardless of pass or run, I think that whole dynamic needs to be reconsidered. I'd much rather have a run look go pass or a pass look go run than grouping the whole team in a run look every play. I think there's a reason why we don't see those huge Lamar runs much anymore and it's because the whole OFF is in between the numbers or at the numbers. That's like 73 players clogging up the middle of the field. Spread them out for goodness sakes.

Payton OC? You are dreaming.
He is getting the HC job.
