Lamar Jackson

Tons of reports and slander against him. He probably feels disrespected and is tired of people playing with his money. Hurt my money, I'll make it easier to trade me. Seems pretty simple to me and most the fans were turning on him anyway. I guarantee if he's shipped off the new team's fanbase won't care about this.
Pretty much.
Though I think he's punted basically all remaining leverage he has by doing this. If he truly wants out, so be it. But now everybody knows what's what, and the Ravens can just sit back and wait for the max offer. Doesn't even have to be this year either. I think they'd like it to be sooner rather than later, but its not like they're going to trade him for a 3rd rounder.

AND, particularly worrisome for Lamar, is not only does he have to broker a trade, without an agent mind you, but it will have likely significant limitations put on it by the Ravens (i.e. who they'll talk to and who they won't) AND he's gotta broker a long term deal with that team first, because nobody is trading for him unless they can get him to sign long term.

Yup. This was basically his trump card. Again, if this somehow works out and he stays, cool. Not going to lie, but somewhat curious to see how this team would build an offense around a new guy as well. I don't care which way it goes, I just want it over before the draft.

You really think it would be smart to have him play here on the tag wtih all this?

Maybe I'm being a bit harsh on him but like most fans I'm just tired of it. Atleast now it's confirmed what many of us believed that he just doesn't want to be here. Honestly, I don't even think it's all about the $ either like I said several times he's holding to thay guaranteed money just to force a trade knowing the Ravens will not give it to him. Damn the culture of this organization has gone to poop what good players will seriously want to come here. I have more anger towards Harbs because I believe it starts with him but that's another topic.

Is Lamar Jackson a trader?

Well wtf are our options? Call up Houston or Indy? That's it right?

The alternative is just let him play out the tag this year and trade next year?

Or give him the contract he wants?

Well, at least the cards are on the table now. Get whatever you can get and move on.
We can trade him for a shit ton of picks? Not just the two first rounders?

Let's just start saying crazy stuff. If you do send Lamar to Houston or some shit, and you add CJ Stroud, DHop, Zay Flowers and bring back MP and Calais with Lamar's money....

This is sarcasm. But just trying to be funny/positive in this mess

Does Lamar need to sign the tag before we can trade him? If he does , teams are no longer on the hook for the two first round picks right?

This is quite hilarious... teams have had the ability to trade for him and sign him to an offer sheet for a few weeks now. No team has been interested... so far which means they don't see him worth the value he thinks he's worth.

Also... what value does he have coming off season ending injuries the past two years? What team is going to commit whatever money he wants to a guy who couldn't stay healthy the last two seasons? It doesn't change that teams can wait until after the Draft to make an offer but still no offer sheet that we know of yet.

If he wants to be leave.... fine. If it comes out he could have played in the playoff game or at any point during the end of the past two seasons and sat out... that will hurt him even more. No team wants to deal with that kind of drama.

Oh he might be gone gone. Ravens probably made it clear that they really arent gonna pay him what he wants.. didnt even say the farewell to maryland at the end… yea he outta here my boy

Harbaugh is saying he wants and loves Lamar and believes he'll be here etc just as strongly as he did the last time he spoke to the media. He wouldn't be doing that if he thought it was hopeless.

It seems like a misstep from Lamar to post that. If his intention is to try and force a trade, it would be an even bigger mistake, reducing his market from maybe 2 or 3 teams to 1 or 2 isn't going to pay financially.
