Lamar Jackson

the problem with Lamar representing himself is the NFLPA is involved and using Lamar as a pawn.
I haven't jumped on that narrative. I still like a man that represents himself! No one can represent me better than me! So, I have no issue with Lamar doing the same. Things are changing in the league and people hate change. I think we'll begin to slowly see many players beginning to follow suit with Lamar, Roquan, and Tunsil in self-representation. If that happens, many of these "agents" will be out of business. They don't want cats like Lamar (a starting QB) upsetting that apple cart.

Would also point out that its an extension on top of the one year he had remaining on his current deal.

So hes now under contract at 4 for ~$93M, with $50M of it guaranteed.

Technically true but this basically guarantees his salary this year so you might as well effectively call it 68m guaranteed if we are using that logic.

No, because the extend will convert his current year salary to a bonus and would be part of the guaranteed $.

He still only has $50M guaranteed on whatever years he has left. It likely means he'll have no guaranteed $ on his deal beyond 2024.

Well I would hope Mr. Narcissist's "interview of himself" would drop this week.
Otherwise he's using the word "soon" incorrectly.
And I'm sure it'll be a very "riveting" interview also.
I'm not looking forward to this. I can only predict it as being a car wreck. Or it will be completely irrelevant and a waste of everyone's time

Yeah. No.

One thing to note is that both Roquan and Tunsil use Saint Omni as a "manager", so they effectively have an agent. He's just not registered with the NFL as an agent.

strange.... Lamar needs Omni

Oh ok!

Gotta ask him that. I don't know what good a self-interview does for anybody but yourself.
Maybe the person interviewing him will ask that. But I doubt it. That guy seems biased...
He hasn’t talked to reporters since December. Maybe he wants to touch on some of the things being said about his contract issues; positive or negative, true or false, etc., because his only outlet to voice his opinion thus far has been Twitter and Instagram.
