Lamar Jackson

If true from Lamar's view I'd probably want one more year but get where the franchise is coming from. Fair deal to me.

That said I haven't trusted leaks in the media I'm not trusting poster on boards.
Fair enough. I’d be skeptical too, just figured I’d share. I have nothing to gain from it lol. Im ready for this nightmare to be over.

Which teams have officially come out saying they have no interest in Lamar so far? Falcons, Dolphins.. who else?

Me too

Lamar is just a pawn in this NFL Owners vs NFLPA battle.

I generally support players’ right to get their money, but dude got some bad advice almost solely related to his lack of agent.

Think he was smart to bypass last year, but this year he needs to take what he can get. Still time for that but he’s walking on thin ice with these other QBs coming up soon.

I asked online. Was told by a couple cap experts that teams that don't currently have a 1st round pick in 2023 can't sign an offer sheet until they either get one, or until after the draft, meaning '24/'25 picks.

Was also told the "floor" for trade comp is two 1sts. Doesn't have to be the ceiling.
Thanks for the info, so flat 2 firsts isn’t so flat I take it

I think it's multiple things...

1. No agent so negotiating directly with the player
2. Teams know his reported asking price
3. Teams would have to pay that asking price and give up a ton of assets for the right to do that
4. There are undoubtedly some injury concerns
5. That Watson deal already looks like a disaster

If he was a regular street FA, he'd have a contract in a second. But when you put all of the things together, it's a tough sell.
You think the Ravens leak the contract offer this week?

No reason to. Clear the Ravens are in the power position currently
With all these teams saying no on Lamar. There has to be some collusion between owners talking Lamar’s asking price and what we’ve offered. Makes me think even more the deal we offered was very fair ….

You know where all the teams were just a few days ago? In the same building in Indianapolis.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Ravens talked to every one of them.

This has become sad because Lamar has actually now been made a public point about what not to do. Something so unbelievably avoidable if he had an agent would have made our team situation and media perception so much better. But we as in Lamar and the Ravens all look bad in this.

But given the bad situation hell yeah we have him the nonexclusive. This will all be over soon

Lol the owners could have played it off a little better, maybe space out their “ im not interested” by a couple days.
