Lamar Jackson

in the offseason there was also an athletic article about how lamar ended up a raven and it was interesting how we weren't even looking for qbs and it ironically came from a recent hire in the scouting department to open our eyes to lamar - like the scout in meetings was kind of like i know this isnt what we're looking for but i believe this strongly and basically forced the front office to take a second look - from that same article i vaguely remember them talking about how we were only interested in 2 qbs - baker mayfield but we knew we didnt have a shot at him and lamar jackson - but i just found it interesting that the whole process didnt even start from the top - started from a random area scout seeing a player so good that it changed his entire opinion of the franchise etc. that it forced him to go out on a limb
That scout is the savior of our franchise period.

No, they saw pick him up in the 1st and rave about him as a prospect and that's how it happened. Don't anyone tell me different.

@Ellicottraven , your thoughts kind sir?
My thoughts are synonymous with absolute, unadulterated ecstatic bliss my dear friend. I feel tonight like I felt when my son was born a long time ago! Absolute, unconditional joy and then just a feeling of accomplished emptiness that is totally inexplicable. Right now, I feel like I've had 6 cups of Italian potent cappuccino and steadily scouring the internet looking for Lamar praise! Thanks for asking @Dom McRaven

LJ is by far the greatest QB we've ever had.
If he continues his play at the clip he's playing at and wins a SB this year, who's to say he can't do it like Michael Jordan did? He is the closest thing in all measurables to MJ I can think of having seen both of them in their primes.

Early Jordan was able to do a whole lot of stuff on his own but that wasn't enough. Lamar is playing at freak levels but he is also making everybody around him better, including our D. Michael also did his stuff with pretty unhealthy dose of arrogance - Jackson is complete opposite. And I seriously think Lamar is far from his prime (and I am aware how ridiculous that may sound right now).

I find this funny

Chiefs fans here rationalizing how they and others will stop Jackson. Apparently all you need to do is stack the box with a bunch of dudes to make him throw and he can’t beat you with his arm. Hope we play them again.

While Steelers fans have come to accept it.

Lamar didn't play one of his better games against the Chiefs, but they still put up more than enough points to win if the defense wasn't complete ass, at the time. I'd love to play the Chiefs again to finally beat them and shut them up.
