Way-Too-Early Prospect Watch: 2019

Bama #92!

I mentioned him already but dude is getting ridiculously good for first time starter. Quinnen Williams, remember that name.

he's been making plays every single week - is he a legitimate pro interior pass rusher would be my question? the answer may be yes but it's something ill be interested in when i get to the tape for the next draft go around...

He looks really really good and along with Wilson may be one of the best defenders on that Alabama defense with Thompson and Lewis but you think he’s better than Davis?

I think he is and he goes a lot of potential as a threat from the inside. I’m not sure he’s Jonathan Allen but he’s really talented

This is his first year playing at tackle, after switching from end. Has all the tools to become a menace there in pros.

I think he already might be better than Raekwon. Dude is a permanent feature in opposing backfield and is focused on the ball. QB/RB, whoever has it, goes down.

i saw a good swim move that blew up play action against drew lock and ive noticed him in the backfield a lot but i guess my question will be when i come to the film whether his penetration into the backfield looks like something that will continue through to the nfl - but looking on a pure snap basis and just seeing how dominant he is i wonder if he'll end up being my favourite bama interior DL out of the last few years

that's one of my biggest knocks on raekwon is that even when he's making plays he sometimes seems to lose sight of the football or the play and takes a moment to recentre himself - in college that's fine but in the nfl that's the difference between a pressure or TFL and being a complete non-factor

Speaking of prospects to watch anyone else watch some Georgia games? I’ve been watching them due to my coworkers and I’m really impressed by their C. Guy is strong as Hell. I forget his name but I’m seeing him working guys on the inside

Just have my eyes on Deandre Baker. A little undersized but man is he talented. I have him slightly over Greedy Williams as CB1 right now

Really like how Brian Burns is playing this season. He’s put on some size and still very explosive

Also everyone seems to be underestimating our need at CB next season. We don’t know what’s going to happen with Carr and if Jimmy continues to play like this he’s certainly off the team.

Man this roster is going to be a mess in the offseason...

I really like Greedy, he also has great name value.

I’m not sure people are underestimating as much as realizing you can’t fix it all. We need an OLB more and a coverage LB more and I’d argue a safety, WR, & OL before CB but I think CB is a need. I think we’ll keep one of Smith or Carr not both

I'm back to watching tape for this year. I started with Byron Murphy, and I really liked the tape. I feel like he is what people wanted Teez Tabor to be. He brings the same swagger and ball skills but with physicality and an overall sense that he's in full control. He always keeps the play in front of him, always has his eyes on the QB and never gives up big plays. The early impression is that he really plays like a Raven

Anyone watch any of LB Hansen from Utah? I’ve been looking up on prospect stats and I saw his stats and was very impressed then checked into his articles and film and am starting to get excited. Anyone else know about this guy?

I never watched him, just heard that he used to be a QB

I'm sure DTs aren't high on the list for most on here, but Derrick Brown looks like a monster that lives in the backfield, and has good instincts. Not one of those guys that just gets back there and gets lost. Him, Pierce, and Henry could be an amazing line that destroys offenses.
