Doesn't hurt to have another weapon back there for returns lol. 1-2 Punch... teams won't know which one is returning the kicks back lol.
1) obviously the training methods are better than they've ever been in terms of preparation and sprint training
but also
2) separation is king, guys aren't gonna make their money winning 50/50 balls, and the easiest way to separate is to simply just run by the guy across from you
also worth pointing out, Jameson Williams didnt even run because of his injury and that's another guy who would have run a blazing time
technique-wise, this is the difference between an elite speed NFL athlete and a guy who's a legit track athlete...
look at the way he doesn't just have quick feet carry his momentum, but look how much force he actively pushes through his feet - he's not pulling his way 40 yards forwards, he's pushing
same thing with olave and watson - dudes actively driving out of their stance like sprinters rather than football players being taught to sprint
James Urban has been coaching all the QBs through all the drills today which is cool

Ridiculous - some of these guys didn’t do their 2nd run because the 1st one looked great - how can they have got some of these times so wrong?
But also I do not believe that Chris olave ran slower than Garrett Wilson after this revised time...
Why would any player come and run the 40 here if it takes 2 hours to find out whether your time is even right

The cynical part of me thinks the nfl gamed some of these unofficial times to create engagement and justify the whole primetime thing...

Tyler Linderbaum measuring in at 296lbs at 6'2 is massive for him - i dont think he's running or doing drills because of a foot injury though so maybe not the best indicator of what his playing weight will be???
