2018 Forum Mock: Discussion Thread

Dan Bailey is overrated but reliable. Since kicking in California weather is basically just like a dome... Bailey will do so much better than any of the other players in the past.... FUCK YOU SPANOS

You will recieve a pick if it was a first or second round tender if you did not match. Otherwise you were supposed to match it during bidding.

tbf the first post says this
After the 24 hours have expired, the player's current team then can decide to match the contract, retaining the player at the bid amount.

doesnt that suggest that the original team has a chance still to respond to the bid...?

I'm not privy to what the changes are this year, but in past years, there was a 24 hour period after bidding ended that teams had to decide to match or take the pick.

Ah, my bad.
Yes there is. But I am pretty sure he has to declare that in the thread

yes that is correct. They would need to place a bid prior to 7:15.

If any of these bids are against @Lost_In_Translation who is managing this free agency thread, please send bids to me. For example if the Cowboys want to keep Bailey that bid would need to be sent to me.

Any Team wanting a bid off, whether that is a home team who lost a player or a final five winner needs to say in the thread that they want to have a bid off. That bid off gets sent to the person managing the free agency thread via PM.

Yeah that's what I thought. Just wanted to make it clear for the new guys playing.

If you want to match an RFA bid, you have 24 hours.

Bid off and final five rights are still 15 minutes.
We both thought you were talking about the home team rule that we instituted last yr.
