2018 Forum Mock: Discussion Thread

The Big Board lists the Broncos as having the 8th and 11th picks in the 4th round, but my SOF says I have picks 6 and 9. Which numbers are correct?

Feels super weird to trade back before even knowing who's on the board, but I clearly needed the draft capital and we all know there's a good chance the draft doesn't fall in the Ravens' favor anyways. Also lets me be a little more free in FA with a couple of extra picks in the fold.

As an objective outsider I think you've made some meaningful moves to address team weaknesses for the Ravens ahead of the draft. I really don't think they're very far from being Super Bowl contenders again, especially with that defense. I think they could've made a run last year if not for the Jimmy Smith injury. With the offensive additions you've made and more depth, looks good.

Appreciate it. That was the goal. I've always been an advocate of trading for your biggest need so that you don't risk getting shut out in the FA period. Of course, it always looks good when that's Mike Evans.

This made me curious and I did the math - based on what picks I had originally and where I'm at now, I was able to get Mike Evans and Jared Cook for the equivalent of 380 points and Maxx Williams. The 380 points levels out to be the 20th pick in round 2. I'd gladly take Evans alone for that.

Jeremy Maclin, Danny Woodhead, Ryan Jensen (tagged him with the full intent of trading him), and Brandon Carr were guys I was never planning to keep anyways, although I would have kept Carr in real life. With the limitations of this game though, he had to go for salary reasons.
 
Seeing that trade block thread is also why I was cool with moving back now - seems like everyone wants to trade down lol
