Black Panther. Like Thor Ragnarok is a solid MCU addition with bad CGI, less jokey too which is good

I haven't seen Black Panther yet. Which did you like better, Ragnarok or Black Panther?
they are stylistically very different so its hard to compare them like that in that sense but id say they are both towards the top in terms of MCU films
i think i still prefer ragnarok but i really did like black panther a lot

Mostly anything with a greenscreen didnt loook real, ie the waterfall and final battle in the field and underground railroad
those rhino things looked a bit weird and you're right that the final battle looked unfortunately a bit like a ps1 video game cut scene i completely forgot about the VFX in that scene (my problem is mostly before they land on the train and that fight in midair as they fall) but i disagree about the waterfall stuff (i thought it was stunning) and so many of the other fx and visuals were beautiful (the colouring especially)
if anyone is interested in how sound gets layered into movies by sound mixers (important distinction between the mixers and editors - it's why there's 2 different oscar categories lol) and foley artists etc. then this is a really cool little behind the scenes featurette by abc looking at skywalker sound's work on the last jedi...

Ravens Ring of Honor
The final battle was reminiscent of the early Spider-Man movies in terms of quality (not a good thing lol). I didn't have a huge problem with the CGI, overall, but some of it was pretty shitty looking.
I enjoyed Black Panther, but the pacing could have used some work (drags in the middle part TBH) and I feel like

(he was one of the more interesting Marvel villains in recent memory and Michael B. Jordan did a great job in playing him, but he disappears for almost an hour after the beginning of the movie)
