Bowl Season Prospects

mayfield starting to struggle with pressure a little bit - feet getting a little hurried in the pocket and wanting too much time but he's reading the field nicely and has shown an ability to manipulate lbs and safeties which is impressive for a college qb

wow - what a trick play by the sooners
even with mayfield gone this team is gonna be fun to watch in terms of receiving talent for the next few years with potential draft prospects:

badet and andrews this year with mayfield, marquise brown, ceedee lamb...

a lot of the big name draft eligible players are stepping up in this rose bowl game

lorenzo carter, sony michel, roquan smith, nick chubb, obo okoronkwo, baker mayfield, mark andrews

baker mayfield's seeing ghosts in the pocket in this 2nd half - defensive adjustments have really thrown him - he wants way too much time in the pocket and he's not throwing the ball away when he should - and to compound it all his oline is starting to get a bit overwhelmed - itll be interesting to see how he deals with this georgia defence with all the momentum - adversity on a big stage will inform my opinion of him somewhat

wow sony michel and nick chubb are absolutely destroying the oklahoma defence - its hard to work out how much to take from a couple of these long gainers though - that's 2 or 3 times where the inside linebacker just picks the complete wrong gap and leaves the hole in the middle of the field wide open - its hard to evaluate their ability in the hole or to cut or pick a gap or whatever when the holes are that wide and directly in front of them

that being said its not like they are getting downgraded for a 40 yard td run lol

okoronkwo just set a really nice edge to start overtime and contain and tackle chubb at the LoS - wait a sec how are they in field goal range - oh wait i forgot cfb overtime rules were weird lol

oklahoma playcalling has gone incredibly conservative in overtime here - stifling themselves as much as being stifled by the bulldogs

mincah fitzpatrick is just in a different league to most of these other guys (on both teams) - he's incredible and so versatile from down to down

So far, these two teams look like completely different league than the rest of CFB.
By a long mile.

which honestly has surprised me given that ive been not as impressed with bama this year - but their defence has come to play today in terms of the looks and scheme and concepts its running

Ridley was wide open deep but is severely underthrown - he still adjusts beautifully and high points but the clemson safety is able to get a hand in and prevent ridley from keeping it in - it was a surefire deep td if even slightly less underthrown
