Bowl Season Prospects

I wouldn't be shocked if Washington goes ahead of Sutton. There's always teams reaching on prospects based on speed.

I just don’t see a way sutton falls in the 20s for us. He’s the type of WR teams covet. Unless he times a slow 40, he’s going to be in the teens at least.

Darnold with a beautiful first throw of the game to convert 3rd and 6... only for the receiver to then fumble the ball away and end the possession - but that was a wonderful throw from Darnold to start the game

not draft eligible but goddammit nick bosa looks and plays exactly like joey bosa - legit looks like a joey twin at times

burnett is killing darnold - 1 third down conversion he fumbles away and another he had it in his hands wide open and drops it going to the ground

and now ohio turning the screw - darnold throws a bad pick 6 - bad read and poorly advised throw puts USC in an even bigger hole than they already were in

ohio with 14 points off turnovers so far - darnold looking like darnold = electric at times and showcases incredible talent but also prone to crushing errors

the way usc is snap counting is making it easier on ohio state - literally he puts his hand down to get the snap and it means that ohio state can literally just key in on the timing of the snap by watching darnold - they can get the jump - and when the rushers on the defence attack like these ohio state defenders that's gonna kill you on offence - and as i say this USC struggles to get personnel on the field, get down to the end of the playclock - osu waits for the hand to go down and by the time darnold gets the snap he's already swamped and it causes yet another turnover

i dont know if the trigger is darnold or the coach but its gotta go because its killing the protection and forcing darnold to scramble around (which he's good at) and is leading to turnovers - im not sure darnold would be served well by going back to school tbh - this offence wont help him in the long run - he needs to get in an nfl offence asap to fix some of these issues - clearly the 2nd qb behind josh rosen for me on this performance (he was already but this confirms it)

same happened again - USC ends up in tough spots because the snap is so predictable and on 3rd and 13 usc literally has to have miracle throws and miracle catches just to complete because its so predictable and im surprised the announcers havent mentioned it - they keep saying how hard it is to beat this front and im here watching like well they're already a good front and now they all have perfect jumps off the snap - ohio state legitimately isnt even trying to disguise their blitzes and pressure packages because they will beat the linemen off the snap every single time

the last snap resulted in a sack on darnold and they slow the replay and every single osu defender has jumped off the snap and beaten the linemen as the ball hits darnold's hands - this game tape is almost useless for darnold evaluation

the only time usc arent swamped off the snap is when darnold is under centre and playing quickly because the snap timing triggers and tells are different and less obvious

Ohio state dbs getting beaten a lot despite the pressure up front - getting away with a lot of early contact - 2 clear dpis not called so far - osu clearly lacking the dbs from their incredible db class last year
