The Oweh, The INT and THE OMG WE DID IT!!!

Latavius Murray looked miles better this week than last week

Ty'son's still not sure of himself in the hole

still not sure we've got anyone to properly run the veer and be a true threat to get the edge (but it might be enough to just threaten the give so that Lamar can take the keeper up the middle)

and with each week we're gonna get more and more comfortable at the meshpoint
Murray's problem is leg drive. He is one of the worst in the league at breaking tackles (only 4% in 2020). That being said, both of his TD runs last week and this have shown good leg drive as he's broken tackles on each of them.

I agree, he was much better this week and I think that may continue with more practice in our scheme.

As much as we rank on Greg Roman, I'm not sure we win this game without his scheme this week.

he had played RT in the NFL - came in at one point at RT last year in relief (can’t remember who was injured...)

and he was a LT in college iirc
last year he played rt in one game (32 snaps). I had forgotten about that one. Other than that, he hasn't played RT.

I think there are several people on here who need to eat crow about the week 1 "the sky is falling and the Oline is garbage" overreaction...

Official Chiefs message board meltdown thread. Enjoy

I'm not even going to read it. Honestly, its like Pats fans complaining about any loss in the Brady era. Like just shut up. You're not going undefeated, you know you're going to lose 2-3 times a year, and @ Baltimore was easily one of the toughest games on their schedule at the beginning of the season.

Everybody and their mother knows the Chiefs are good, and likely anything but a Mahomes injury will likely get them at least to the AFC Championship game.

Yeah God forbid they lose 1 or 2 games… that’s how you know bandwagon fans versus actual fans who have been there through the worst of times

Edit: I didn’t mean to put the mouse in but I’m just gonna leave it because I think it’s hilarious

it was nice to see a couple Ravens complements as well, but yes the fans wanting the undefeated season is ridiculous.

Again strictly looking from above, but I’m really impressed by Brandon Stephens. The open field tackling was certainly suspect, but he has the mental down which is kind of crazy for a young guy. The football IQ stands out so much when you see him roam around back there. Very impressive ability to diagnose and change direction. I’m really excited to see how he grows.

Even more impressive and exciting that he’s very new to the defensive side of things. He’s also athletic too. This may end up as one of EDCs best draft

Guilty

I’ve just received word from someone very close to the organization that Bateman is 2-3 weeks away from coming back. Don’t believe me, I understand, but it’s just something I heard. My source is reputable

I’m fine with this. The way Hollywood is playing, we can afford to let Bateman get 100% healthy. Sammy, besides a couple of drops, has been solid as well. Going to be a huge boost when Rashod comes in

I mean, by definition, the earliest is two weeks. I would expect him back for either the Denver or Cincinnati game, pending any setbacks. Just really don't know how much practice time he needs.

I would think, given the choices, that we should see a flood of guys like Jimmy, Bateman, Boyle and Wolfe back at some point in the near future. Likely in the next 2-3 weeks.

Jimmy was limited last week. I don't think he plays this week, but I could see him ready to go in week 4.

Just rest him. We won’t need him against the Lions. Very interesting though how we play/played three elite TEs in the first three games
