I’m still very confused on why we fired Friedgen. He had just won ACC Coach of the Year. That would be like outright releasing Russell Wilson after winning NFC Offensive Player of the Year (yeah I know he didn’t last year, point still stands)

Georgia's defense is going to be something, the only TD they scored was a Pick 6 while the only offensive score was a Field Goal. Yet they somehow managed to win 10-3 over Clemson. As I was watching the game clock tick under 10 minutes, Georgia was still passing the ball and my Ravens instincts kicked in and I'm wanting to yell at my TV for them not running the ball lol.

Yeah I'm starting to wonder if it may be a down year for QBs in the draft next year. We've hit such a good run from 2017-2021 with great QBs coming out and it seems 2022 may end that streak. This is why I thought the Broncos, Falcons, and Panthers would regret not taking Justin Fields this year.

Yeah I'm starting to wonder if it may be a down year for QBs in the draft next year. We've hit such a good run from 2017-2021 with great QBs coming out and it seems 2022 may end that streak. This is why I thought the Broncos, Falcons, and Panthers would regret not taking Justin Fields this year.

add matt corral to the list of QBs whose team is telling you what they really think of him by what they let him do on 3rd down lol

much like JT Daniels and DJ Uiagulelei, Ole Miss are not opening it up for him on money downs
 
targeting is such a stupid rule - these guys shouldnt be getting disqualified for having their heads drop slightly

i get it for flagrant stuff on defenceless guys but you're asking defenders to account for offensive guys changing the target area (as they should be allowed to) in a split second before impact

it just feels like if you look hard enough you could call targeting on almost any play in college football

the rule is broken and has been for a long time - these guys shouldnt be getting ejected for those types of plays
 
wtf is dan mullen doing with his QBs - had the starter throw 2 consecutive picks and kept him in the game (despite having a nice QB behind him)

puts the young QB in to start the 4th quarter - has 2 straight positive runs and then unfurls a beautiful 40+ yd bomb and gets hit and has his helmet come off (which means he has to leave for a play) but rather than have him just step out for a play he leaves him out the rest of the drive and they turn it over on downs...

why not let the young guy play - especially against these cupcakes - and especially when he's balling

Tells you a lot about this QB class that the supposed clear number 1 QB has been getting booed by his own crowd with them calling for the backup QB to come in...

ive not seen anything so far that convinces me at all about Rattler

Remember 2013 where only 1 QB was taken in the first and that Quarterback busted out of the league? Desperation for a QB won't let that happen in 2022 but I'm getting 2013 Draft vibes from the 2022 QB Class.

Good thing we don't need a QB lol. If the QB class is that dismal Huntley could be worth a top pick possibly and I still probally wouldn't make the trade. Not sure what QB's are rated right now but for the small sample I seen Adrian Martinez and Malik Cunningham if draftable could be worth a look in the lower rds.

Oklahoma and Ohio State look vulnerable. Clemson, obviously won't make the playoff.


Inconsistent QB play from Rattler and Howell. Malik Willis has some interesting traits and Matt Corral will put up numbers under Lane Kiffin.

Really early, but a Thibodeaux feels more likely to go #1 than a QB at this point.

thibodeaux last year looked like one of the most electric talents ive seen - and i think you're right that this lacklustre QB class gives extra credence to him going 1st overall

but QB value is just so high

genuinely think the 2 most impressive draft eligible QBs so far this year in college football have been Taulia Tagovailoa and Matt Corral but tbf I haven't watched a ton

but not convinced by Howell now that he's lost his weapons, very unconvinced by Rattler

i was intrigued by desmond ridder last year but not kept track of him in 2021, have heard some good things about malik willis too but not seen any of him yet

but from what ive seen corral and tagovailoa have looked the best so far

I think Corral could see a meteoric rise like Zach Wilson had last year. Be curious to see how he looks against Alabama next week.

Haven't seen a ton of Willis, but he is really athletic and I think he has pretty good arm talent.

You're absolutely right though, QB's are at such a premium that they will be going high in the draft, rightly or wrongly. I just think if the #1 pick belongs to Houston or Detroit, both teams are entering what looks to be a long rebuild. I'd be taking the best available player, QB or otherwise because both teams have so many holes.

especially if im houston - i know im not gonna be good for a while so i'd probably be trading down but if not i'd follow in the browns footsteps when they took Garrett (albeit they could have taken Watson or Mahomes in that class lol) and take Thibodeaux with the understanding that I've got a chance at a QB in a better QB class in a year or 2...

not sure im 100% certain that detroit or houston are getting that 1st pick though
