2021 Baltimore Orioles

Lots of good things happening in Bowie

[emoji23] Gotta love the Double AA team being more exciting then the MLB club.
I always enjoyed baysox games as a kid, a ton of fun. For the Os, as soon as I move to Tampa in August I’m excited to cheer for the Rays. Already bought tickets for the 19 August game vs Baltimore. Let’s Go Rays ! #AngelosSucks

Means the rebuild is working, and the O's aren't too far away from being fun again.

The Orioles end June with an improbable Road sweep agsinst one of the AL's best teams... the Astros.

Amazing the little things this team is accomplishing in a middle of a rebuild.

Orioles record a home sweep of the Nationals for the first time since 2010. I really hope next year is the year we finally take the next step under Elias, this constant rebuilding is getting annoying.

The pandemic fucked things up, but the guys at Bowie keep getting closer to Baltimore. That's all we can hope for at this point.

The Orioles are blowing out the Yankees in New York.... only for a cat to come and steal the show.

Boy I certainly hope we can all recover from the devastating impact this will have on the franchise...

There's an email chain bouncing around between me and my buddies on this one, mostly mocking the contract. For those that don't know, Crash went the Bobby Bonilla route... he's got a lot of deferred money in his deal. He will be on the Orioles payroll, at over $1M annually, through 2037. Davis will make $9.1M per year in 2023-2025, $3.5M per year in 2026-2032, and $1.4M per year from 2033-2037.
  • Davis has played a total of 16 games since 2019 (out of a possible 222... including this season), and has 6 hits total. He made about $23.3M during that time. Equates to almost $4M per hit.
  • In the last four seasons (including 2021), out of a possible 546 games, he has 137 hits, and 28 home runs. He made about $57.3M during that time frame. That's $418K per hit, and $2.05M per home run.

Today I learned that the Orioles are paying Bobby Bonilla $500K every year too.

Little one and I got to watch the Os take their 14th(!) loss in a row last night. That team is down right depressing to watch. They look like they couldn’t care less about the outcome. O well , Go Rays!
