The 2021 Offseason Thread

They didn't get to witness how hard this offense had to work just to score 20 points on the road against a decent defense. Whew boy, they don't know.....
Or how every single game always came down to the last 2mins regardless of who we played.. bruh i wouldnt surprised if we already have more wins of +7 points with lamar thsn we did with flacco

training camp wired edition:

Very cool video they made. I honestly think there is some interesting stuff in there with respect to Ravens culture. You can tell the young guys, Hollywood, Queen, Dobbins, they're all humble and hungry. The older guys, Calais, Watkins, Houston, AV, they are big time leaders. This roster has the talent and the work ethic and mentality to win a championship. I hope we're not taking that kind of stuff for granted. Calais retiring would be a huge loss for the culture. I think even in his short time, Sammy has done a similar job for the culture of the offense. It's very important to balance the locker room and get the best out of everyone. I think this team is special. Let's just get healthy and try and stay that way. If we can, this is our year.

That wired video was fun

Calais has to be so annoying sometimes though lol. I don’t think he ever stops talking

Keith Williams looks like he relates to the players so well. A true coach right there. Hopefully we see the end result on the field.

Rob Ryan looks like a great hire for such a young ILB group.

I like how a new guy like AV is already stepping into a leadership role as well.

You can really tell that Keith Williams loves coaching and is already making a huge impact on our receivers. That dude has so much energy out there and you love to see it.

Also pet peeve time as I’m starting to see some 53 man roster predictions coming out… I can’t believe some writers still don’t get the difference between a DE and an OLB here. Yes, a guy like Chris Smith has played DE in a 4-3 front but that does not make him a DL in the considerations. He’s an edge rusher. Put him and other guys like that with the rest of the edge rushers at OLB.

The nfl and their media team are so out of touch on this issue, it’s 2021 and they still have not officially sanctioned edge as a position, its fucking amateur hour over there.

Ray lewis, still to this day, is taking a backseat to LAWRENCE FUCKING TAYLOR in all time LB rankings, they were not in the same fucking universe as far as positional roles go

The really need to start classifying groups as DL, EDGE, and Off-ball LB essentially. Just blows my mind how many media guys still don't get it after all of these years. A guy at 260 is not a DL in a 3-4 front.

The worst this is the only people that actually say that are Ravens fans.

I wonder if Wink gets a HC gig next year after leading this D to another top 3 Defenses, will he take Rob with him? Or is he and harbs kind of grooming him to take over the DC role when wink leaves.

I kind of think Rob stays and Wink hires Rex. That way, he gets both brothers back into the league. I know those 3 are close like that.
