2021 TE Thread

I quite like Charlie Kolar. At 6'6 and with a background in basketball shining through, he's shown that he is great at attacking the ball in the air and reliably bringing it down if it's anywhere vaguely near him. Also pretty solid at blocking. Downside is that he's quite slow, so a lot of his catches will be contested and there won't be much YAC. I'd expect him to mainly make 10-15 yard chunk plays and act as a big red zone threat.

Could be a good running mate for mandrews and a bit of a safety blanket for Lamar if he drops to us in the later rounds and he just might with those speed issues...

I watched that Iowa St game myself and the TE's blocked very good in that game and made sure handed grabs. I've been impressed with Tomlinson as the 3rd TE but we need to keep this cupboard stacked.

I love Pitts, but I could easily see him going as high as top 10.

Just me, but I like him significantly more than Hawkenson, who went 8th.

I think Pitts range is anywhere from 8th(CAR)-15th(NE)

Pitt's 100% out of our range - not sure I'm really interested in anyone else at TE in the first round

Brevin Jordan is a draft crush of mine. He brings a little bit of everything, can block well, can get open and most importantly can break a lot of tackles. He's a Dreams pick in round 2, perfect complement to Andrews.

No chance he drops to us...............

TRADE UP DECOSTA
I’d be down for it no question.

Assuming our current OL stays playing at this rate, I don’t think anything improves this team more than an oversized WR1 who can just be physically dominant, don’t even need a freak athlete, just a guy that can play like a Young dez Bryant, but Pitts being that plus a freak athlete just makes him so appealing lol. I’d love a real edge weapon, or a prototype all around FS, or an elite IOL, but man I really really want to make a freak athlete TE like Pitts our WR1

Okay I'll play. How is he as a route runner? I don't give AF how freaky of an athlete he is if he can't run routes for shit. Been there, done that.

hes all around. hes got the moves, he keeps it sharp and tight, he can vary his speed, excellent leverage.

hes about as elite of a receiving specialist TE as youll ever see. his route game is gonna be based on athleticism and leverage, but the skill to separate is there.

hes got the athleticism and leverage to play out wide consistently, hes got the quickness and fluidity and smarts to play big slot, as a bonus for us hes a willing blocker whos got something to build on and he does alright blocking on the move. hes a really different TE prospect if ive ever seen one.

Pitts and Andrews.......you know what? Let me stop.

@JoeyFlex5
I think theres a chance Tremble is long gone by our third round pick, which is essentially an early 4. On the other hand its possible that we value guys like that more than other teams. I have a bad feeling about Pittsburgh poaching guys from us in this class....valuing guys like Tremble and The Georgia center, etc.

Love the upside of Tre McKitty - athleticism, some route-running processes there already, unafraid to be physical, massive sticky hands

obviously looking for more consistent play-speed through his breaks, sustaining separation better and he's an adequate at best blocker right now but the traits are really great especially in an overall very weak TE class
