What???? Julius Thomas is the definition of washed up. Dude cant seperate to save his life. Im shocked youd want a guy with no production over a guy with some production. Plus Ebron has more potential since hes younger.

Have you actually watched him recently? Thomas is still uberly athletic. He wasn't the issue in Miami(the Jay Cutler show can be attributed to most of his struggles) and is still a mismatch nightmare. Also more adept at contested grabs. Better fit here. I'd get him to a cheaper contract to see what he could do and still draft a TE early.

Fine but only if were able to land Nelson with him.
 
i would not mind eric ebron but keep in mind he does not block so he would be a big slot receiver. im beginning to think that mallet will be the backup again. too many needs to use a pick on a qb at least thru round 5.

Sorry Lost, not sure what you've been watching, but Thomas is struggling to run nowadays. Ankle and foot injuries have killed what explosion he had.

He's not the burner he used to be but he still can get open. I'm not suggesting he'd be an elite TE but he's better than anything we got now... Not to mention he's still good at those contested grabs.

I'd rather us take a one year flier on him and take a TE early on then given an inevitable dissapointment contract to Ebron

Im not sure hed be much better than Maxx Williams tbh. I like Maxx as a #2 TE but we need someone who can threaten the vertical seam. Ebron can do that much better than Thomas. I dont really care if he cant block, we need pass catchers. Add Ebron, Nelson, Ridley, and Gesicki and our pass offense might actually be formidable

And Ebron, while he's improved, is not particuarly impressive. If that's our top choice we are probably better off long term cap wise just starting a rookie.
I know everyone wants the vertical threat TE but not too many of those types are avaliable. And Ebron while he can do that isn't exactly a high quality option. I don't want him here.

Yet you want Julius Thomas over him??? Not sure what you want us to do, either way sounds like your gonna be pissed unless we trade for Kelce lol.

Ebron is the best bet we have available right now and the best fit for what we need out of a pass catching TE

I'd rather just start a rookie over either of those two to be totally honest

Like we should have all along. I rather have a guy with good hands, that fights for the ball, and has durability. After that, size and speed are just a plus.
