I don’t see how anyone couldn’t love the Maclin signing. When the dude is on his game he’s so damn good. And he’s not even 30. I don’t really want him on the team anymore just for emotional reasons but it’s not like he’s a bad receiver. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he plays great next year, with whatever team.

I don't want our FO involved in anything anymore. No trades, no nothing. They'd fuck that up too. This move has disgusted me to no avail. Just sit on our hands patiently and wait for the draft. Let the remaining cap roll over to next season at this point, fire Eric and give him the finger on the way out. We've wasted what little resources we've had on a no name WR who's mistaken for a previously mediocre RB and James fucking Hurst. It's not a bad offseason, its not even terrible, it's fucking moronic and insulting to anyone with half of a brain. Hurst should be unemployed right now. And Grant.. He's a solid player but this is an overpay of the highest order. What a fucking waste of money. We should be fixing this sad excuse for an oline through guys like Sitton. The John Brown contract.. I really like that shit, that's a good move. When healthy, he's a fucking weapon. The rest of the moves. Brent Urban. Don't care if he's cheap, never avaliable. Waste of money. James Hurst? Scrub. No thank you. Waste of money. Brandon Carr? Old, could fall off of a cliff. Set at CB. Waste of money. See where I am going. Even the John Brown deal, something I like, could be a total fucking disaster.

We're not as far off as some people think. The defense when healthy is a SB unit. The running game is good, even without woodhead there.. Literally tweak the oline and WR corps. Sure, if Brown is healthy he is a MASSIVE upgrade. Ryan Grant is a stable #3, far moreso than Moore could ever hope to be.. We vastly overpaid for one of them and the other is a big ass injury risk. Meanwhile, we let Jensen walk in hilariously stupid fashion and resign a fucking burden to the team on the oline.

There's been no tangible benefit thus far. Just wasted capital.

I feel the same way about Jensen. Have heard not a peep....haven't heard a thing about another team being interested.
 
I seriously hope we spend the rest of FA to get some defensive help (LB most of all, no cap for interior rusher) and dedicate entire draft at taking shots on offense.

I don't think this team is in a win scenario with the fans. They couldn't afford the top FA WRs and most of them were signed anyways so that was that. If they made a move people get upset, and if they did nothing anyways people will still get upset. I just don't know what to say lol.

Sorry I'm pissed. From a monetary standpoint none of these deals make any fucking sense. This is the equivalent of throwing money away and calling it progress. Grant is an upgrade on the receving corps.. In the sense that a literal statue would be an upgrade,. He's not worth as much as we are paying him.

I love the John Brown deal. Love it. Could backfire massively.

Mind you, I've also been drinking, but I can guarentee you.. This is terrible.

I don't hate the moves, to be clear. I actually think with an added guy, Grant will "succeed"(Ravens wr standards) here. My thing is it doesn't seem like the FO had any kind of plan while approaching FA. I'm also not a fan of just signing a guy to sign him which is what it seems like the team is doing. There were things that could have been done to help the cap situation, like a CJ contract and having these cuts made before. All these trades and we couldn't figure something out for a position of need? We stock pile picks, while the honest truth is we rarely even get production from the rounds 2-3 and when we do it's the first and last year of their contract because we're forcing to the bench or out of position. Then, in the rare occasion they do alright, we haven't even been able to keep the good ones, for the most part. Or so it seems.

So the guy who's been an injury concern most his career was injured and didn't fit with a qb who played about 6 good games. Maclin was cut for a reason. Let me remind you Ravens fans were hype about the choices of Eric Decker and Jeremy Maclin just a year ago. They are not meant to be #1 or 2 options at this point.

That's an interesting take. And I meant average number 3 receiver. Sorry that just went unspecified in mind cuz that's the biggesr role he's ever been in. That's probably at best. But he's our number 1 WR lol

But why wouldn't I be? This is the biggest waste of money I've ever seen us pull out of our fucking asses. Who runs this team now? George W. Bush?

I do think that another FA signing ala Dez Bryant and/or Jordy Nelson could do big things, as well as a high draft pick. But I ain't happy. With what little money we have we spend it on a scrub olinemen who was a well below average player last year and an unproven low upside slot WR. GTFOH with this nonesense
