That's the way I look at this. Though DJ Moore has Moore potential.. Ridley would not be a bad get either.

Ridley + cap cut + Moncrief... That's an upgraded corps if I've ever seen one

That's the bigger shock tbh. Jimmy G has far more promise than Trubisky, and SF is a much nicer place. They both have equally crappy owners though, but it appears that Lynch at least knows what the hell he's doing. Not to mention they have an offensive genius in Shannahan.

If you really thought AR-15 was the primary plan... Even I could've told you that he wasn't coming here. I thought we were an UNDERRATED landing place.. But underrated still means unlikely... I'm surprised he's not in San Fran.

I've been saying this all along. It's best to bolster the depth and numbers of the corps in FA. Take the #1 option in the draft, and than another option in the middle rounds.

At this point I'd hope our FA strategy to be

Interior Pass rush
WR(*2.. I'd get a cap cut to be an option, then a guy like Moncrief)
OG/C(Sorry. The prospects of Hurst and Skura starting should scare each and every single one of you. Oline is a need. If you don't think it is a need... Seriously go back and reevaluate everything).

hes going to be 27 when his contract is up I’m sure there are going to be many suitors at that point, but idk why anyone would choose Chicago. Then again he is from Michigan so he may have chose Chicago because it’s close to home
 
I understand not liking the idea of paying Hurst $4M/year but it’s not that bad honestly. Yeah, he’ll be a likely starter but he can play G or T. I actually like the move if he’s going to RT to replace Howard. I would love to upgrade RT by drafting a guy in the top but we have so many needs to use a pick there. I really liked Hurst at RT in (I know, I know...) preseason before he switched to LG, but I do think he could flourish at RT if given time, to be honest. I recall saying I think we should bring him back in this very thread early on in the off-season that I wanted the team to re-sign Hurst to replace Howard and cut Howard to give Hurst his money. Seems we did just that. I’ll admit I could be wrong about Jensen because we’ve heard his market could make him the highest paid center. That’s nuts to me but we do have Skura and Siragusa, and this is an exceptionally strong interior OL class especially at C so I think we’ll be okay. I prefer to keep Jensen, though.

As for Robinson, that sucks if he is gone to CHI. <joke>I think they owe us one still for the 2011 Draft Trade debacle so they could send him our way as restitution.</joke> I think Moncrief is a good get if we can land him, however, and would also like Richardson. I know people like us to sign Watkins but he scares me with his injury history. I’d love to draft Calvin Ridley but his slight frame really does worry me. Then there’s DJ Moore, who I would be thrilled to get but I suspect he will be gone sooner than we expect and I have a feeling he could end up a 2nd round pick due to the weak class.

But it wasn’t as fun as the first. Kinda knew that team went on a run and multiple players played beyond their means temporarily. And u knew the modern regime wasn’t gonna keep in contention. You could see the bad decisions mounting up. Everybody ignored it cuz we were winning with players drafted 2002-2006 then 2008. The declining older players were signed as compliments. Not the backbone of the team weddle was signed to be. That 2000 team Ozzie was surrounded with good advisors and impact players were added every year through draft and free agency. The 2000 team woulda repeated if we didn’t lose our all pro freak running back and the best right tackle in the nfl in Leon Searcy. That team there was a different feeling in the air. It was dominant brash and knew it was gonna win. Impact players were added every year in the draft and free agency. Did anybody really expect Joe Flacco to repeat that performance and put up those numbers consistently. Did anybody really think Jacoby Jones was gonna be a consistent playmaker?? lmao that was a joke.
 
Stick a fork in us, we'll end up with scraps again and maybe couple decent rookies. Defense will have to play out of their minds for us to win a game after scoring 20 points.

Need to begin a purge this year, then start from scratch in 2019 with new GM, coach and QB.
 
I don’t know why but I wasn’t expecting Sammy Watkins to get a larger yearly average than Allen robinson - I wonder how the guaranteed money compares...
 
I love how all the hardcore homers convincing himself Robinson was overpaid. Lmao then applauded tony Jabronison and Williams contracts. You all would be doing back flips if we signed him. Moncrief is a scrub. His max is what u saw with Luck b4 injury.
 
I’m rooting for the ravens to lose to purge this regime including that balding moron DeCosta. I blame he and Harball more than Ozzie for this shitty team. Sometimes U have to take a step back b4 going forward. I’m thinking 5-11 to 6-10 new coach and GM that will add building blocks to build around
 
When r u all gonna get it?? Your getting more of the same?? Cheap declining cap cuts to patchwork holes to get Biscotti’s buddies Harball and DeCosta to the playoffs. So he can give the illusion of a team moving in the right direction. And argue with his fan base the competence of his nerdy friends Harball DeCosta and Flacco.
