Next Up: @ Steelers

lol what - what a weird response if true - they cant stomach the idea that we might be able to have some sort of working roster available - it's pretty clear there's an outbreak in our facility and it would be stupid to potentially spread that to a 2nd team in a 2nd city

Delaying the inevitable tbh

yes it is but the only way this gets moved is if there's an outbreak problem or a player safety issue - if we literally couldnt field a team safely then their hand was most likely forced

i kind of wish we could have got the game over with tomorrow night but if we were seriously going to be missing everyone on the interior in both trenches then i get why it's been moved

this is petty nonsense - it's not like the game's cancelled it's just not on thanksgiving night anymore

What is there to actually cry about? And will they feel the same if their team gets hit with Covid later down the year?

(as rapsheet has also reported)

well if these truly are the positives and skura and mekari were positives and not close contacts then it doesnt really make any difference in terms of the OL whether we play tomorrow or Sunday

my guess if these are all the positives that there's a ton of contact tracing still to do with Brandon Williams being the only guy to have been sent to quarantine for close-contact and not a positive

my guess is that's probably why this has been postponed to sunday so that they can allow for close-contact tracing to try and get a handle on this especially as if there is in-house spread then players could still be testing positive all the way through until friday (or beyond) because of the incubation period

Steelers players and their fans are idiots. “Play and potentially contract the virus or spend time with family on Thanksgiving?” And being off tomorrow gives JuJu more time for him to make his lame ass vlogs.

Alot of Steelers fans don't even like JuJu lol

it's like great... you're complaining that a team that just had an outbreak during a pandemic can only play against you 3 days later

He gets on my nerves for some reason and it’s not because he’s a Steeler. I just can’t really explain why lol. He’s just one of those people

Don't players complain all the time that they hate Thursday games? Quite ironic from Juju. Stick to making Tiktoks my man
Exactly. His videos get on my nerves. Just focus on football. I know you’re young but I don’t care about your daily life. That goes for Michael Pittman, etc.

so this is now confusing - are these guys positives or not - basically are mekari, skura and campbell positives or are they part of the contact tracing?

Lol so I'm guessing Bozeman would've been snapping the ball tomorrow I'm so happy this got moved lol were they positives or close contracts?

there's a ton of people complaining on social media (including media voices i respected) just not understanding that this is why this game has been postponed - and the grievance seems to amount to "the steelers no longer get a mini-bye after the thanksgiving game" but ignoring the fact they now get a full 7 days to prep for a depleted ravens roster in stead of 4

tons of people talking about how the 49ers game wasnt postponed but they only had 1 positive case and 3 close contacts - the reason it felt like there were tons of guys out was because there were tons of guys out for actual injury related reasons

the absolute stupidity of some commentators right now is astonishing

I'm glad they made the right choice. Sucks that the Steelers keep getting impacted but damn do their players and fans look foolish right now. They aren't postponing this game to spite them - it's to make sure that the spread is contained and that they aren't putting a positive testing person on the field tomorrow night. I'm not sure putting 90 guys on a plane as guys are still testing positive daily is the most prudent move, but maybe that's just me. We're still going to be shorthanded Sunday vs. tomorrow night.
