The OL Thread

Wow, although I’d want to help my teammates, during the game as well, I can’t say that I don’t understand his reasoning.

its not that new - players were definitely doing it last year and it makes a lot of sense - that said bowl games are where i get most of my "personal scouting" done

Exactly, I like the bowl games for that as well, but the film is better, unless your scouting a qb

The film is much better but I like being able to watch more players in the bowl games because I’m not picking out of several concurrent games all playing at once - i can watch one and then the next one and the next one and so on with prospect after prospect all live on tape

First time I really bought in on devante Parker was in the bowl game the year before he came out and that was also the game that made me know teddy bridgewater was easily ahead of bortles and Manziel in my grading and then I got to watch more and more games (I remember that game specifically because it was so memorable)

I mean he's gotten his share of injuries. He's helped his program well enough, he deserves to take care of his body and prepare for what's to come.

Yup, except if he had a marque matchup that could boost his stock in case he handled it well.

oh im all for him playing but i 100% dont care that he isnt as it were - it doesnt negatively impact him for me at all but i wish as a viewer that i could see him play

Yeah I get what you're saying. Tbh I would only care if Texas drew a team like NC State or Boston with an elite pass rusher. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have watched it anyway.

I'm intrigued by Isaiah Wynn from Georgia, dude will need to shift inside but he's got quick feet and he's a powerhouse.

I'll take Orlando brown. Zeus jr looks legit, he's about as heady a linemen I've ever seen and he's constantly picking up blitzes that most linemen completely miss and misread, he's got multiple kicksteps and you see him doing a lot of different things at a high level, he adapts to different kinds of rushes with different kinds of positioning and different approaches to each snap, along with brute strength and quick feet that he uses to mirror defenders.

I'm surprised he's not getting top 10 hype

Have you read the B/R article on him? Dude looks like he's a grinder.

and dont forget those long arms he has

Brown has value but from 3nd round I think, he has some good and bad traits and the Zeus connection, but he is always going to struggle to keep his weight down.

Oh yeah Im sure this former 400lb teen with a genetic predisposition to weight gain is going to eat chicken and brown rice for the next 10 years.
I wouldn't bet against him. From what I've heard he could still lose more weight, and he clearly has the will to thrive, sooo... I'm not afraid of that.

Has anybody watched this guy? Obviously a man amongst boys but still.....was a major recruit, (Texas, USC, Alabama) but has a history with drugs apparently.
Pretty athletic...could be a dominant guard.
