RB Thread

It has worked out fairly well for the Cowboys and Jaguars. And for us back when we got Jamal Lewis.
Jamal Lewis is an exception to the rule but even that SB was won by defense.
Cowboys and Jaguars don't have much to show for it. Any other team with beast RB 1st rounder either, for that matter.

Is Sony Michel a first rounder? The idea of drafting him has grown me, but only in the second, and sadly he almost certainly won't be there. Barkley is going where he's going and then I think one of either guice or Michel goes in the 20s. I still hope we're able to trade back, if we can trade back and choose between Moore, wynn, guice, and Michel in the 20s and pick up another 2nd that would be beautiful

Yeah, like Sony Michel a lot. It's possible he goes anywhere between the late 1st to late 2nd. He could slip due to the depth in the draft on RB.

If Kamara was available in the 3rd, I feel like realistically Michel will be there in the 2nd.

If they would’ve took Malik Hooker(minus the injury) instead of Fournette I think they would’ve been a better team. Just run Cover 1 and cover 3 with Hooker as the single high and no way are offenses going to be able to run or pass. Kareem Hunt would’ve been a better fit for that offense and he was available in the third

One thing to take into account is that last year was a very deep draft across the board and although I agree with you, it's not an apples to apples comparison.

Oh contrare. Kamaras explosion brings a renaissance that pushes RBs of the same mold a whole round ahead for a few years

the saints certainly valued him higher already too given that they traded away a 2018 2nd round pick to make that 3rd round pick...

Which is no surprise, he's Sean Payton's dream, idk why they went with a workhorse bruiser like Ingram, he's been very good but the fit of kamara in Payton and Brees' offense is incredible. 3rd down style backs are gonna explode in stock for the next few years and when people realize that Alvin kamaras are few and far between, they'll fall again. Just like what happened with jumpball receivers after Calvin Johnson, slot receivers after Wes welker. I actually have Michel going in the first as it currently stands and I think he furthers that trend

I remember the rumor that we were trying to trade a pick for Melvin Ingram and not many members were in favor of that. I would have loved Ingram here. Of course he and Kamara were a great tandem in New Orleans. I never liked the AP fit.

You mean mark? And yeah I'm glad we didn't, I don't think he's built for the north, like he's a powerful workhorse type guy but he does it in a finesse division and those NFC south games seem to be the ones where he gets loose the most, I don't think his power translates as well when he's facing the bengals and steelers

lol, yes Mark

I really enjoyed this video as a big fan of Sony Michel. Man what he would do for this offense if we could take him in the 2nd/3rd round.
