2017 College Football Thread

Now, I may have asked this before on this site or the previous one, but why is that a lot of these major football programs play schools that I've never heard of?

Nothing really, I'm talking top 4 after next week.
It wouldn't surprise me if they do though.
True. I honestly think Auburn is gonna end up winning. Its gonna be close and whenever its close Auburn wins lol. Auburn us also 11-9 when both teams are in the top 20. Either way, it'll be a classic

What i learned from Darnold/Rosen

-Rosen should be the #1 pick.
-Darnold should stay one more year at USC.
-Everyone forgets about Josh Allen

Yeah. Darnold is half finished, he'd be wise to stay in college.
Be nice if Allen returns as well, so we can all mock him to Ravens in 2019.
Not sure Allen will. He was about to declare last year. I think Allen could be ready honestly. He has such a poor supporting cast yet his team is 7-4. I think they had 5 offensive players on nfl rosters at some point this season. Hes playing with inexperienced guys and his coach (wentz college coach) is making him read his progressions. Something Darnold doesnt do

Yeah, you can see lot of similarities with Wentz in Allen's game but I think Allen's pass is generally more accurate. Big leap from where he's at now to what Wentz is doing in NFL though.

They do it to give themselves “easy wins” that pad their records and provide for what amounts to a mini bye.

Does Allen even have any eligibility left to come back next year?

That's ridiculous, but whatever. I mean, what benefit does a team like Mercer or The Citadel get from getting their asses kicked by a team like Alabama or Clemson? I never understood that.
