What position will the Ravens select with their first pick in the draft?

Definitely more excited about tonight than I was last night in all honesty. 4 picks and a lot of quality players left. Really curious to see what position starts to go on a run early tonight. Not pressed about trading up but we definitely have a prime opportunity to do so if a run starts. Crossing my fingers for one of the WRs and Hunt/Cushenberry in round 2. Rooting for Zuniga in round 3.

Players I want in the 2nd:

AJ Epenesa
Xavier McKinney
Grant Delpit
Cushenberry
Robert Hunt
Jonathan Taylor
Tee Higgins
Yetur Gross-Matos
JK Dobbins
Ross Blacklock
Denzel Mims
Marlon Davidson
Terrell Lewis
Jonathan Greenard
Darrell Taylor
Logan Wilson

have to think if he is there 10 picks you go get him. he's an impact and LOS changing player man. I would probably go and get Mims if he's there say 10 picks in as well.

yeah although its hard to see EDC giving up day 2 picks to move up anywhere - but it would require a day 2 pick to get up that high in round 2 - if we can stomach risking it we could see day 3 capital being used but as far as possible id like us to preserve as many day 2 selections as possible

Thats 16 players and we're the 23rd pick

Weaver, Baun, Pittman, People-Jones, Madubuike, Claypool, Shenault are those I've been watching and really don't like
I think Pittman and Shenault would be studs in our offense...

I haven't watched any Higgins. any thoughts on him?

For a big guy, not great at beating press man and I'm sure that will continue to be a struggle at the NFL level until a coach can get ahold of him. Also not the best route runner. Think he lost a little luster because he doesn't have any true standout traits compared to the rest, but does just about everything pretty well. I like him.

athletically gifted but raw

doesnt separate as well as you'd hope for someone who's supposed to be fast, really struggles with press, not a sharp cutter when running routes (with a limited route tree)

that being said

he's a vertical weapon with great hands and great in contested situations and has great length and speed (height-weight-speed prospect)

he's a guy you pick and early in his career scheme him some mismatches against smaller corners or find a way to get him some free releases - maybe out of the slot, maybe get him in motion etc. but who could develop into a really high quality star WR - just a lot of work to get to that point

49th on my board - probably going to be players i like more when we pick in round 2 but would not quibble if we did pick him

of the other reasonable bigger WR prospects though he's my least favourite of the Mims, Edwards, Pittman, Higgins group (albeit all are top 50 on my board)

Nah, quite a few teams drafted very well last night.

also it seems the Cowboys entire purpose in the draft is to piss us off. They’ll never forgive us for crashing their Texas stadium retirement party

tbf i think jerrah was trying to piss off the eagles but we ended up getting caught in the crossfire lol

I'd be ok with some of those guys. I like Pittman a lot and Shenault could very well be made for a Roman offense. He's a risk, no doubt, but I believe his ceiling is through the roof. I think Claypool is being slept on but I'd rather not take him in the 2nd.

I don't see enough quality in the route run nor enough twitch.. But I'll also admit I'm bad at evaluating WRs.
I got the Perriman pick but I've been quite outragious for the most part. (loved Steve Ismael, Auden Tate, Riley Ridley, Hakeem Butler just on top of my head).
I'm more 'trustworthy' on RB and DLmen lol

Yea, WRs are always hard so I don't blame you. If we take a WR today, I'll truzz in EDC that he'll get us the right one.
