Joe Flacco

This debate is pointless and will amount to nothing. We're stuck with Joe for another year and our problems on offense go far beyond him. Investing money in an AJ McCaron would be an utter waste of resources we could dedicate towards the line and/or skill position players. Not to mention McCaron isn't really that great of a QB anyways. Good backup, but never saw him as a starter coming out of school. Still think the same thing.

That said... AJ went to Alabama...

Yep, we're fucked.

Most famously, Steve Young.

Matt Schaub and Matt Hasselbeck were very integral in their team's playoff success. Wasn't Favre a backup for the Falcons at one point?

They were but they're not worth the value of what McCaaron could get.

Yeah I think Young was a back up but in our case there wasn't a risk of signing him to a big deal.

We're stuck with flacco for another two years. The contract is beyond atrocious and it gets worse over those two years.

Can anybody tell me how Flacco's situation is any different than the one Jared Goff and Case Keenum were in last year?

It would actually be a whole lot of dead money unfortunately lol. On to the next idea.

We could go out with a starting offensive line of Campanaro, Chris Moore, Jaylen Hill, Ladarius Webb and Eluemenor for a few weeks and see what Joe thinks about retirement after that.

For one thing Flacco has a better run game to support him than those guys. There was bright spot at all for The Rams offense last year. Atleast The Ravens have good run game which they didn't have much of since 2014.

The run game has been abysmal for the last month. If you exclude Collins big run on 4th and 1 we probably average less than 3 YPC

Mike Glennon....MIKE GLENNON got a 45M/3YR contract with 19M guaranteed on his deal in FA. Joe would have an offer the moment he gets to his car after he's released. He'll for sure get a payday if he's released.
He will absolutely get an offer, just not the same money he has here.

i think, taking into account how crap joe is and how crappy the talent is around him marty has done more than most. You have to understand that not even Kubiak could do anything with this current crop. No OC can turn this Joe into a decent QB.

Yea i agree! Dude is done. Worst starting qb in lg outside of kizer

Rough how they're doing Eli. I hope when Koch replaces Flacco, the organization at the very least does it with a hint of class.

The one thing you can never fault the Ravens organization for is their class! So, to answer your question once Koch replaces Flacco they will definitely show more class and Flacco unlike Eli won't be emotional about it either. He simply won't care.

By the way, if Eli's benching doesn't light a fire under Flacco's butt nothing ever will. I saw some signs of life in Flacco vs the Texans actually. The first time in a long time did I catch him looking at the game tape on the sidelines not once but twice! So, maybe pressure is already mounting on him.
