With him on deck? However long he stays + 10 yrs!And unfortunately that will set the Ravens back 10 years.

By breaking off from mediocrity? He hasn't done anything since the SB. That was long time ago. And he's getting worse every year. And unfortunately that will set the Ravens back 10 years.
O line injuries. Joes never been a guy that could handle pressure consistently. What I can’t jnderstand is how joe started off so hot this year and now we’re having these conversation, even before the hip injury

It can see how it maybe screwing up his rhythm on drives.Messing with a QBs head during successful drives over and over again has a cumulative affect. I can imagine Joe, in the back of his mind, wondering when Marty was going to bring in the Lamar package.
Baltimores loss will be Jacksonvilles gain.

At what point can you say that joe had a rhythm that was killed from a lamar package? Usually when joe has a rhythm we keep it going, the only times we really ever put lamar in when joe had a “rhythm” was in the red zone where we needed to get our run game going, which lamar has done incredibly well.It can see how it maybe screwing up his rhythm on drives.

That has nothing to do with joe making horrible reads and throws.I mean the hip injury I thought was against the Panthers, but the problem I saw seems to be that Brown is the receiver teams have decided to take away and the Ravens have to keep their TEs in to block which means Vrab needs to catch the damn ball and get open (or give Moore his playing time)
I have to disagree, Joe has moved the ball down the field several times this year when he was taken out and they put Lamar in. How can that not screw up your rhythm? IMHO, if I moved the ball down the field to the red zone and I was taken out, I would get frustrated. Frustration can certainly mess up your mojo.At what point can you say that joe had a rhythm that was killed from a lamar package? The hard truth is that joe has rarely had a rhythm this year, and in those times where he did, we weren’t bringing lamar in.
Oh, so rinse and repeat, all over again?I mean the hip injury I thought was against the Panthers, but the problem I saw seems to be that Brown is the receiver teams have decided to take away and the Ravens have to keep their TEs in to block which means Vrab needs to catch the damn ball and get open (or give Moore his playing time)
So on a team with no running game, you get to the red zone, and use a player that doubles your rushing efficiency, and that’s a bad thing because of this mythical rhythm you all speak of...I have to disagree, Joe has moved the ball down the field several times this year when he was taken out and they put Lamar in. Yup, he's a 10 year vet and he hasn't been in any consistent rhythm for like 3 seasons now. None of this shit is new because of Lamar Jackson. So on a team with no running game, you get to the red zone, and use a player that doubles your rushing efficiency, and that’s a bad thing because of this mythical rhythm you all speak of...
You realize we hit a stride where we couldn’t find the end zone for, what was it... 9 quarters? No qb in any kind of rhythm has that happen. I guess that lamar and his 5 or so snaps per game are to blame.
So yeah, a player that doubles our rushing efficiency and is literally the only player that gets the ground game going, is the one to blame for our qb being late as fuck on easy reads and throwing into coverage and rushing the throw with a clean pocket.
Oh, so rinse and repeat, all over again?
When the fuck are excuses going to stop? The only 100mil QB who couldn't do anything himself, it all has to be setup perfect for him.
Of all the 100M dollar QBs he has always had worst supporting cast (Rodgers might be worse but Rodgers is on another level compared to the rest of NFL).
How about instead of "perfect" we can settle on not crap. How about a not crap OLine which would help having a not crap run game, and might allow Ravens to send there TEs on routes so that there is more than 1 not crap option to catch the ball.
I could go down the list of assets the other 100M QBs get to cement the point but not crap should be a low bar to reach
And how about the least pressured QB this season produces some actual football instead of throwing the first read in double coverage for a change?
100mil for SB run of 4 games plus thick extension, of which he earned nothing.
What I can’t jnderstand is how joe started off so hot this year and now we’re having these conversation, even before the hip injury
Rhythm? mojo? He was all by himself last year and he still managed to fuck up his mojo on several occasions. So now Lamar's insertion into the game is to blame? When are we going to stop making excuses for this grown man that has earned over 150MM so far for 4 games he played great in?I have to disagree, Joe has moved the ball down the field several times this year when he was taken out and they put Lamar in. How can that not screw up your rhythm? IMHO, if I moved the ball down the field to the red zone and I was taken out, I would get frustrated. Frustration can certainly mess up your mojo.
Just an observation........ With other teams QBs we call their top receivers their “favorite targets”, or their “go to guys”, With Flacco they’re referred to as “comfort blankets” or “safety nets”. lol Carry on.We had all new weapons with all new chemistries so teams had no idea yet who the comfort blanket and safety nets on this team were yet
Early in the year Crabtree was getting doubled leaving John brown 1v1 in man all the time and leaving Snead 1v1 over the middle whereas now teams are taking away those reads - they’re squatting on the crosser/slant on 3rd down for Snead and they’re doubling John brown and taking him away - they’re betting that Crabtree and mark Andrews won’t beat them enough and that taking away joes comforts will make him worse at qb
That would be my best guess for what has changed from opposition teams to how they play us (also were probably seeing fewer stacked boxes than we were earlier in the year - iirc I think Alex Collins through 2-3 weeks faced the most 8+ boxes in the nfl - which naturally creates space in the passing game)
Lamar is special when he gets an opening and takes off. He has only thrown it a few times. One or two throws were decent and the rest left me scratching my head. I think teams are starting to figure out how to stall our drives when we bring Lamar in. I get a lot of guys do not like Joe, but personally I think Joe has been a victim of too many offensive coordinator changes and neglect to our offense. If we could have kept Kubiak and addressed the offensive with better picks, I believe we would have kept making the playoffs. Our offense line and receiving Corp has been seriously lacking. We have had some big games the last several years like against Pittsburgh two seasons ago, the Patriots game three seasons ago, and the Saints game this season. These games were not lost by Joe, who had played his ass off. Yes Joe had some stinkers against lesser opponents and deserves some blame for our seasons, just not all of it. I still say if we are going to make the playoffs this season, Joe still gives us our best chance if he is healthy enough and should start staying on field. I understand you wanting to bring in Lamar for his rushing efficiency in the red zone. I want Joe on the field for his passing efficiency. The difference to me in those two things is I want our offensive coordinator to open up his playbook and call some good damn plays. I am seriously losing my patience with Marty. So on a team with no running game, you get to the red zone, and use a player that doubles your rushing efficiency, and that’s a bad thing because of this mythical rhythm you all speak of...
