The Random Thought Thread

We are long removed from the leadership this team was once blessed with. These guys are still stuck on that first game.

Yikes man....Yikes
Agree. Seems like their season crashed in the last 2mins of the first game in Buffalo. They mentally never came back. That should not be.

idk about the schematic stuff
but the fact that not even the rookies are finding joy playing football is a real worry with the culture

i get the fan lethargy with regards to regular season wins - but if players are feeling numb and not enjoying playing football and winning then there's a real cultural problem in the building that needs fixing
Tragedy is that most of us know how to fix it but not the person that can fix it.

This is exactly how Billick went out back in the day too. The message in the locker room seems lost. There’s time to get it back, but it’s teetering on disaster.

This part of the fallout from a lack of accountability.

I do get the frustrations with some of the play calling by Monken. The only thing I question is, how much is it Monken vs the OL not doing it's job? The guard situation is well noted by this point and the fact we aren't getting any push up front which hurts the effectiveness of Derrick Henry, which in turn hurts the offense as a whole and it's made 10x worse when Lamar isn't out there.

I really hope we try a new offensive line, we got to try anything that isn't Faalele being a turnstile every game.

We were averaging 40 points before Lamar got injured.

The article feels like a hit piece aimed at someone. I am not buying it and if that is really how some offensive players feel it just too rich for my tastes considering how many points they were putting up prior to Lamar getting hurt.

It just feels like they are sticking up for a unit that hasn't bothered showing up in key moments. Sure, could we do a better job on offense on key downs and not tip off what we are doing? Absolutely.

But to sit there and give that other unit a pass is ridiculous. What does Monk have to do with no offense respecting the Ravens on 4th down? What did he have to do with that melt down against the Bills? These guys are mentally weak and IMO it starts with their leader.

I think y'all are focusing on the wrong part of that article, personally. Monken, Orr, Harbaugh, players, whoever... there's going to be some frustration toward others when you're 1 and 5. I wouldn't take all of those criticisms at face value.

The most telling thing in that article to me was that they couldn't and seemingly still can't get over that loss to the Bills. We're dead in the water if that's still hanging over guys' heads that heavily.

I think the problem with the loss is its something thats lingered for multiple seasons

Then it goes back to when Oweh said that they took the foot off the gas. If that game meant THAT much to them, why on Earth would they STILL take their "foot out of the gas" given the number of chokejobs we've endured since 2022?

We might win that game if Pees is around to babysit Orr

and that is exactly why I said they are mentally weak and it starts with their leader John

the fact that they keep taking their feet off of the gas is INSANE to me.

Been the same story for years

Yep agreed on that. We've had losses like that in recent years (unfortunately) but generally, the team was able to move on and came out and played the next week as if it was a new week. This year, we've seemingly reached the breaking point if it's still hurting 6 weeks later.
