So what other defenders are on pace with Humphrey for DPOY? I can not think of anyone who is even close, 3 forced fumbles in 4 games and was also the only player who showed up for the KC game, there isn’t even any buzz around any defensive players so far this year.

TJ Watt would be the obvious other candidate i guess

Really? Because Ive watched 3 Steelers games this year and I’ve felt pretty strongly that bud Dupree is the one jumping off the tape between the 2, as odd as it is to say such a thing, he’s been an animal this year

idk i think they've both been good but TJ Watt draws more attention and still has higher production and has been basically unblockable

i think he's quite clearly the best EDGE rusher in the league this year

He's 3rd in sacks, 1st in QB Hits, 2nd in hurries which = 1st in Pressures - that's despite having played a game less than everyone else (except dupree)

Watt also drops into coverage (something dupree doesnt do) and is 10th in the league in TFLs despite only playing 3 games (I think Vince Williams is 1st also having only played 3 games)

going through turnover stats:

there are 3 players in the league with 3 turnovers so far this year:
Marlon Humphrey
Pierre Desir
Foye Oluokun (who???) - had all 3 forced fumbles in the first half against dallas then got injured lol

I’m not paying any damn attention when I’m watching then lol

Gabefergy is going to be on Ken McKusick's defensive podcast today. Isn't he or wasn't he a member of the boards at one point?

He was, wasnt he a samiesque level of pessimist?

I don't think he was pessimistic as much as he was a guy that latched onto certain opinions. I can't remember exactly what player, but I'm pretty sure there was one player that he swore was an awful pick and he kept up that thinking even with that player producing. Good, smart football guy though.

To me, the running game isn't as potent because we seem hellbent on balancing the load between our three RBs, not giving a damn who's doing well. Perhaps our run blocking too, but it doesn't seem to be much of an issue in the 4th quarter apparently.

Given the FO couldn't get a deal done with Ronnie I wonder they held him back this week to see what they have with Zeus Jr at LR at least as a contingency.
