The Random Thought Thread

Who did? From everything I heard it wasn’t bad but he still got suspended. Do you think Elliott did anything as bad as what we saw in the video? All ol’ boy had to do was walk away or lock his hotel room door. Pretty simple problem resolution method there.
Didnt the girl have bruises on her though?

Did you not see how he was standing talking when he first came
Out that door? “ cmon man why you gotta do that” he didnt say that his posture looks like it.. each time? All he did was push her. When she fell and hit that wall, he didnt push her.. someone had bumped into her.. he did a little baby kick towards the end and she fell.. he couldve broke her jaw right there if he wanted too..
So because it could’ve been worse it’s not a standard domestic violence case that should be treated with the standard DV punishment the nfl hands out?

I’m not saying it couldn’t have been worse because it could. If you read my post to you, I stated that I will buy the idea that he didn’t want to hurt her for the reasons you just gave. What I am saying is he initiated contact and is definitely the physical aggressor here. That’s my point and it has nothing to do with the lethality but the initiation of contact.

He couldve easily knocked that girl out lol.. if wanted to punch her he would have done it just like ray rice and mixon did.
He sure could’ve I’m not disagreeing with that.

I don’t remember that but here’s some info:
"In cases where a player is not charged with a crime, or is charged but not convicted, he may still be found to have violated the policy if the credible evidence establishes that he engaged in conduct prohibited by this personal conduct policy."

He will get in trouble because of the little kick.. all he did was push her out his face to stop her from hitting him.. dont get me wrong im against putting hands on woman but in this case he didnt really do shit. You can tell he was trying to explain something till she came towards him..the kick will get him trouble thats about it

As if people needed any more reasons to protest/hate the NFL....

Not even one mention of this so far on their website and they've obviously had to have seen the video before the season started. They might need to make an example out of Hunt just to calm the shitstorm that's likely coming.

I love the bit where the dude rips the phone out of one of the girls hands who is filming it. Love that video proof of wrong doing, as long as it isn't someone in my entourage doing wrong.

@Deebo813 why are you defending this? Can you really look at that scene and tell me this isn't a clear case of misconduct? Making comparisons to Rice is meaningless. If it were equal to Rice, then I guess he'd be black balled from the league permanently. That may not happen, but something damn well should.

If this was known by the team and the league - not just an allegation but the footage - how in the world have they done nothing?

For the record, I agree to an extent but I also don't. I'm not sure he will get in trouble and if he does it's even MORE hypocritical of the NFL. That's why I am even pissed. It's because they act like they're so moral but the morality comes because it is exposed and nothing else. That's why I'm pissed by their actions because if they saw the video and did nothing but now do, and they likely will, it's fucked up because that's also wrong. You're punishing him because of public backlash and not for the right reason. Maybe I didn't do a good job of explaining my anger, but that is what pisses me off here. They're so hypocritical.

Because the NFL (aka Goodell's office) is filled with hypocrites who care only if it comes to be public knowledge. That's my best guess. If there's no video proof then beat on your wife, spouse, child--whatever--all you want.

Exactly. If TMZ never released that video of Rice then he'd still be in the league right now and maybe even still playing for us.

Im not defensing him. Yes it is misconduct but we acting like its very bad.. i wasnt the one who started the rice comparisons by the way. how do we know they have already seen the vid? Even if they did, you want a billion dollar owner to punish his start player during the season when theyre possible SB contenders? When he does get in trouble i hope its at end of season

with no video evidence and if the women dont come forward and tell, how and why should they care? How are they suppose to know?

I think Hunt should've received a suspension, and while I don't think he should receive the same punishment as Rice, I think it should've happened. The fact that they covered it up for over 6 months pisses me off and then when and if they suspend him [Hunt] now, I'll also be pissed because they're suspending him because of public outcry. That's absolutely ridiculous and it's NO way to handle suspensions.

This should've been done months ago and not now. It wouldn't be a big deal if they gave him a 4 game suspension back then to start the season.

Reports are saying that they knew about it and that someone in the Chief's organization knew about it but did nothing and didn't expect a suspension. I also read that they saw the video. I'm not sure how true it is, that's why I caveat; however, I just don't like how the NFL handled this situation. It's like they always do this stuff wrong.

whats wrong with KC covering it up? Thats what theyre suppose to do... im not defending KC but im not mad at them at all for covering it up.. we talking about an billon dollar owner and a superstar player.

Don't you think if KC just suspended them like 2 games then it wouldn't be a big deal now? I sort of do, honestly, for the reasons you gave. I understand why they would do it--it's a business reason--but that doesn't mean I think it's the best decision. I'm more pissed if the NFL covered it up more than the Chiefs, because their [NFL] job is to enforce the league-wide rules. I just didn't see any reason from that video that Hunt shouldn't get a suspension of some kind.

I think KC found out pretty late. Or atleast they pretended to do so lol.

if they found out way in feb/march... they may need to fire a couple people from staff cause they handled this all wrong. Also, if i seen hunt on the street i wouldnt notice him. Thats probably what happened. If no one in that encounter said anything to the hotel staff or whatever, whomever seen that vid probably thought it was just some random people with the bull shit.
