He’s got a good burst. Long speed is overrated.Im not surprised Gus had a great game, he might be slow as hell but hes got great vision.

he hits the hole pretty quickly though. Something Alex Collins doesn't do.
Who has put together great coaching staff? Serious question here but I think this is an overstated concern. You definitely want a good coaching staff but I feel this criticism of Harbaugh is a bit overblown. He’s had some very good coaches here who have left to get their own promotions. Coaches on offense have been an issue but definitely not defense. Even then I wonder how many of those coaches were bad or whether the talent on offense was bad. People used to say we had a good RB coach and other coaches. Funny how losing can change perceptions
i was like, go zeus on that blockits why i still really like kenneth dixon as a fit for this team - i think he's the best hit-the-hole runner we have
Orlando Brown was awesome in run blocking yesterday - he (and John Brown lol) had key blocks on both our td runs
I’d disagree about talent on defense making us good on defense because of Ozzie. Coordinating definitely makes an impact on how talent is used so I would definitely disagree there. I don’t like some of what Martindale is doing right now to be honest. It’s like we went from one extreme to another in terms of blitzing. I also asked a legit question—I’m wondering what HC has put together consistently good coaching staffs.i wasnt bashing harbaugh, it was a legit question. but as far as the defense goes all of our coordinators have been in house guys, its not like harbaugh went and found these guys. theyre all running the same schemes. i think our defense is great because of ozzie, not harbaugh, i mean we were always a great defense, even with billick, just my opinion, i could be wrong. the problem is we need a good offense and we fail every year to find a competent OC, we cant find the guy that can design plays to maximize the strengths of the best players, and put them in position to succeed.
Willie Henry to IR hurt like hell, and the return of Tim Williams from his nagging injury should bring a big boost. Lack of speed around the edge is a huge reason our pass rush is failing, Tim brings that early pressure to flush the qb and give our slower pocket push rushers the upper hand.I want us to get to the playoffs. Even had us going before season but there is a reason why we are in this position... we suck. Our pass rush isnt gonna automatically appear if we make offs. Im not with that one and done shit. If we arent a threat to make SB, i simply dnt care about us making offs.

Maybe we’re misunderstanding each other here because I don’t disagree with you that our coaching staff hasn’t always made the most out of our players. There seems to be a clear disconnect between FO and coaches or something because the guys drafted are used in strange ways and makes me wonder why we drafted them. We could go on all day on these guys for sure. I think the best coaches maximize what players do well and minimize what they do not. For years Cam would make a square peg fit into round holes and wonder why they don’t fit. Belichick does this very well and gets guys to fit his system.lol you missed my point with the coordinator thing, coordinators definitely affect how the defense plays obviously, i was saying ozzie set a standard with his drafting, and that made us the defense we became not harbaugh. and even though you answered my question with a question, im gonna explain my thoughts on yours. all teams are different, so some teams dont need certain things, THIS TEAM NEEDS A GREAT OC, with our current QB situation, and year after year we dont have one. i could do research to answer your question but it wouldnt matter because, whatever team i come up with arent the ravens, and they dont have marty at oc and joe at qb. but you could be right, i could be mad we're losing, and expecting to much from harbaugh

With that said, now that I have shown you I don’t disagree with your premise here so you don’t think this is some kind of Internet attacking, I am genuinely asking you and anyone else really who out there produces great coaching staff? That’s what I am asking. I just don’t think there’s many teams out there with stellar coaching staff. Could Harbaugh do better? You’re damn right. I don’t think we need this great coaching staff we just need some smart coaches to realize what their players do well and realize what they don’t do well and play those guys to their strengths. I’d love to see more TE involvement because that’s been an area where both QB do well and they’ve been highly underutilized
Serious question: Has Harbaugh ever produced a future DC/OC/HC from his own coaching tree. Frazier, Kubiak and Spagnuolu don't count. Does Pagano count?andy reid and the chiefs consistently build an incredible coaching staff - which they have to consistently build because everyone knows they consistently build it so they get pilfered every few years and then have to bring in new guys all over again
i hate that they do but the steelers consistently bring in good coaches
patriots do it (although they havent had to for a while on offence with mcdaniels holding down the OC for a while)
panthers are normally pretty good at producing good coaching staffs
that's a few examples
the chiefs are probably the most obvious examples - and you'll note maybe that a lot of reid's coaching tree makes good hires first time up too - doug pederson hired frank reich among others - frank reich as head of the colts has produced a good group of coaches around him
its the same with a lot of these organisations - they create good staffs - those good coaches get snapped up and then they hire good staffs - bill obrien and mike vrabel are good examples of that post-bellicheck - we'll see how patricia does
Bill Parcells, Bill Belichick, Bill Walsh, Joe Gibbs, Andy Reid, Mike Holmgren to name a fewI’d disagree about talent on defense making us good on defense because of Ozzie. Pagano had just a short stint as a DC and with pretty damn elite D, hard to tell.Serious question: Has Harbaugh ever produced a future DC/OC/HC from his own coaching tree. Frazier, Kubiak and Spagnuolu don't count. Does Pagano count?

That doesn’t always work either, but sometimes you need to take a chance. Lincoln Riley as head coach would be interestingSo do you all think we should bring in some
Young college talent to our coaching staff?
