WR/RB Thread

We need to sign Jaelen Strong. He's the perfect receiver for Joe. Jumpball specialist.
We already have a big receiver in Chris Matthews. He was one playcall away from being Superbowl MVP, so he has shown he can play in the NFL as opposed to Strong. I would like to see us use Matthews more though. Joe has always liked, and been successful with, big receivers.

Well Perriman is 6'3.....would be nice if hom and flacco can ever build some kind of chemistry together

Perriman doesn't play like he's big unfortunately. Never mind Boldin, even Aiken worked well with Flacco, and I don't see why Matthews shouldn't at least give us more than Perriman has so far.

He couldn't take the #2 WR spot on a team where there second guy in fuller is hurt, and they basically have nothing else besides Hopkins. No thanks.

And his tape in college sucked. We dodged a bullet. At least Perriman can get on the field. Hell, Perriman in his limited role last year had more yards than Strong did in both years combined.

I was on the strong bandwagon til I discovered that there is actual film and not just YouTube clips, quickly jumped off that bandwagon.

Dude moves like he's made of stone, he doesn't have anywhere near the agility needed to beat NFL dbs on jumpballs and that's literally the only thing he offered in the first place

I still remember when like every mock draft had us taking him in the first round of that draft.
I remember calling for him a while back, after watching more tape I came to realize he wasn't as good as I thought. Gosh I can't believe I actually wanted us to draft him in the 1st round.

I don't think I was really his biggest fan. I remember getting chastised for saying that he wasn't a first round talent.

Well... I wasn't wrong.

Tgod the Jaguars signed him.

Watch the Jags have him catch TD against us in garbage time because Bortles, and then the fanbase has a massive outburst.

Watch as he drops 90 like Higgins did last week. I really hope the defense fixes those mistakes from last week.

Perriman need to only attempt catches in traffic with a lazer sent in his general direction, that seems to be the only way he likes catching passes lol

Or a diving catch with a cornerback sprawled all over him deep downfield lol.

I feel like we need to feed Perriman targets. He's not going to improve if he's only seeing 3 targets a game

I think it's the chicken and egg thing. If he would catch the damn ball Joe would have more confidence in him. I swear the last 4 or 5 he's touched he has flat out dropped. The 10 yarder he slammed to the ground last week put them in 3rd and long and pretty much killed the drive. He's got to lose the board hands!

Did you see how fast he was into the route to drop the ball, though?

I don't know if it's gameplan, playcalling or what, but it just amazes me how every time we get a new wr, they almost always seem to integrate into our system effortlessly and they guys we have look like they forgot how to play ball. Or of course, they just disappear.

I put a lot of that on Flacvo being criminaly underrated for his ability to get the best out of our players.
